The first of the two Midnight Hunt Commander decks is the GW Coven Counters deck. This deck cares about the Coven mechnics, with support from +1/+1 counters and Human tribal. Joining our master of festivities Leinore, Autumn Sovereign are a Human tribal legend and a tree. Decklist is here.
The new cards are kind of meh but at least they support the coven mechanic. The white curse could be interesting. The new Angel let you choose opponent creatures, too. Could be a solid finisher or political card in white at a casual game. The Bastion Protector reprint is nice.
Celestial Judgement is a little expensive? Celebrate the Harvest could work... But for all those card you need a board with stuff. Somberwald Beastmaster is a nice enabler for well 7 mana but it is in green so maybe?
I hope that Heronblade Elite doesn't mean that Sigarda is dead, too. The scythe looks familiar.
Oh, totally forgot this was a thing with new cards too. And i thought the main legend was already revealed. Apparently i was wrong

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Is it only me or Moorland Rescuer is completely broken? This is one-side mass reanimator at just six mana. Ok, it must die, but its not that big hoop to do. This card is totally crazy in grave based deck.

Total power X or less. If your 6-drop dying to a wrath brings back 2 bears, that isn’t the most impressive of feats

A six mana card that requires it to be on the battlefield and die, needs pump to get anything over total power 4, and that exiles itself to keep it from looping - nah, it's pretty fair, not broken. For six mana, you deserve a limited, one-time effect.

this only gets the graveyard and it’s total power you have to make her grow huge and also they may not be that much in the grave and did I mention she gets exile when it goes in like academy rector
Wizards are still putting in tap lands and Temple of the False God in their Commander decks. However, it seems they have at least decided to include Zendikar Rising duals and Exotic Orchard as part of the standard land package.
Curse of Conformity is no one-sided Humility: it notably does not remove abilities, and it won't affect Legendaries. (It's time to blow it up with Outland Liberator yet again!)

At least Humans now have a non-Angel tribal leader in Selesnya. Admittedly, it feels like another card in the vein of Hamza, Guardian of Arashin, and where is that now? I used to like counter-based strategies but it's a lot of math to keep up with. Instead of playing weak things that evolve gradually into stronger ones, why not just play big things right out of the gate, like in Gruul?
I loved playing GW humans during original Innistrad block, even though most of the good stuff was in Vampires. Still upset there isn't a 3 mana Selesnyan human lord that completes the cycle from Dark Ascension. Oh well, there's support enough, I suppose.
This deck looks incredibly boring and I normally love +1/+1 counter stuff.
I actually think kind of the opposite, this is one of the best commander decks out of the box we've ever seen. Incredibly synergistic, appropriate power, interesting directions to build upon, and some very good new cards. The main commander offers conditional card advantage and the deck is built around thinking ahead and capitalizing on that. I don't know what else one could want out of an introductory type product. I think I'll be picking it up too, and I've been playing for most of my life.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
So in German, "Kürbis" is the pumpkin - can't imagine that that's sheer chance.
Moorland Rescuer: I am reminded of Goethe's Poem Der Erlkönig - I just hope the Rescuer is more successful.
And the Jackpot Reprint is....
Bastion Protector $16 (this card got pretty popular and gives your commanders indestructible)
Celestial Judgement is a little expensive? Celebrate the Harvest could work... But for all those card you need a board with stuff. Somberwald Beastmaster is a nice enabler for well 7 mana but it is in green so maybe?

How much power on the battlefield though can come from 0 power in the graveyard?
