Love the voodoo doll is the Unluckiest, maybe this is why he is cursed.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
ook that expalins everything of why he keeps getting unlucky and everytime he appears its a curse card
now for tin foil hat this is his (ex) girlfriend/wife and spiteful he planes walking and not staying with her
anyway...congradulations for curse type lovers we finally have are legend for that
honest truth i was considering doing Codie, Vociferous Codex giving bad stuff with Zedruu the Greathearted and Blim, Comedic Genius as secret commanders (i got the idea from mitch aka commander quarters) even though you don't give the curse's you could throw that in as a sub-theme with this so Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor could be the third secret commander if it works out.
Now I am really keeping my fingers crossed we get The Unluckiest... I believe I read somewhere that he's a Planeswalker. Can anyone find anything that backs that up?

oh he is and this might be a indication innistrad is his homeplane
OK, the Unluckiest doll got me good. We need a card for that poor guy already.
As for the card itself, it's neat that we finally got a Curse Commander but she doesn't seems THAT great? I mean draw 2 is neat but you'll have to attach the Curse to yourself first and then ensure Lynde survives a whole turn cycle, OR you could blow up the Curse at the last minute and then move it around which would be great were it not for the fact you are playing the worst colors to get rid of Enchantments.
Also, note that reattaching the Curses to yourself is NOT optional. Sure, you may want to make that poor schmo with Curse of Misfortunes as miserable as possible but you'll also find out you don't want him to die too soon because the Curses will come back to you and moving them around once per turn really ain't fast enough. On the plus side, this does encourages good gameplay since spreading out the love is the best way to ensure a sudden player death won't be followed by your own, plus from the current wording Curse reattachments should get around player hexproof, but still forces you to err on the side of caution, especially against Bane of Progress-like effects.
I guess I still like the design, and I'd rather much get an underpowered Commander rather than the next Golos, Tireless Pilgrim, I just wish she wasn't so slow.

Huh, I just noticed something very interesting but entirely unrelated.
Look at the art description for Curse of Disturbance. The "Setting" segment says Grixis but the "Location" is a "wide boulevard". There has been a theory floating around that New Capenna is actually in Alara, with the description of "Angels built it but demons took over" lining up with this theory plus Elspeth's involvement being confirmed. If THIS is how Grixis looks post Conflux... I might actually buy this "Capenna is Alara" theory.
Kinda sad she's not mardu
Kinda sad she's booster exclusive
But she is really a cool commander

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I think it’s mostly cuz you lose access to Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist which moves curses around. That being said this card is very flavorful hopefully we get to see unluckiest on a card someday!

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
It was mentioned on the stream Lynde was previewed in that avoiding Overwhelming Splendor is the main reason she's Grixis and not Mardu.
I don't quite follow this logic... I mean, as soon as Overwhelming Splendor lands on you, she will lose all abilities and you'll not move it to anyone else and get your cards. So it's completely stupid to play Overwhelming Splendor when she's out... I don't feel you need to set her color identity to prevent players from playing that total non-bo?

Maybe they tweaked her ability specifically to not work with OS and they also transitioned her colors to Grixis separately but whoever said that conflated the two

I think its more OS not working with what they wanted to do with her means there is one less white curse to play and thus being BUR making more sense for a curse commander.

It was more of a general precaution to never have her in the same deck as Overwhelming Splendor, even outside of a possible different path they could have taken with her design.
Ive loved the Curse cards since they first made their debut.
That card draw is nice, if you could get Paradox Haze & Curse of Misfortunes on yourself, with maybe a few enchantment clones, i think she could spam them out pretty quick
Edit: Just noticed something. Take a look at the silhouette of the figure on Paradox Haze, I kinda think it resembles the Unluckiest Planeswalker
Good news: for those of you waited for an actual Curse tribal commander (sorry, Ghen), here you go.
Bad news: she's a Set Booster exclusive

So we're now getting extended artwork versions of Commander-only Commander cards? This is new, right?

I kinda understard but come on there is how many White curses? 1/2?
And Overwhelming Splendor is no good for her.
https://archidekt.com/user/71716
Let’s see
https://scryfall.com/search?q=type:curse&order=color&as=grid
5 white curses
6 blue curses
12 black curses (2 are DFC)
9 red curses
2 green curses
looks like grixis is the correct colors to me for Lynde
but if you want white this could be 99 for Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker // Vial Smasher the Fierce or whatever yore-tiler partner combo
I think it’s mostly cuz you lose access to Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist which moves curses around. That being said this card is very flavorful hopefully we get to see unluckiest on a card someday!
