So strange that this has "protection", while they cut their leg off to avoid spelling it out on Sungold Sentinel.
Sungold Sentinel only has half of protection. That ability means you can choose the color of any Equipments or Auras attached to her and they don't fall off, and she still dies blocking something of the chosen color.

That seems like it might make Modern Humans a big deal again
That and many others from the set. Then again, the best humans have historically come from Innistrad: champion, various Thalia, her lieutenant, ... but honestly, not sure if modern human is really seeking more ways to make mana. The Adeline and Rem hold more promise.

I think the reason they did that was to prevent this critter from being too amazing a blocker for limited. but yeah.

you cast it "for free" if you have 2 other humans and it might ramp you quite well.
