For 1 extra, your Traveler's Amulet can now search up mana rocks. Sure, you can always get Arcane Signet and the other Signets, Sol Ring and anything with Lotus in the name, but if you want the flavor win, go for The Celestus itself.
Is the Moonsilver Key supposed to be the silver gear bowl in the statue's hand or what? Also, now I can start to see why the Key is in Markov property - Sorin's probably still keeping it for sentimental reasons (e.g. maybe he created Avacyn with it and other objects?).
Also, someone's probably using the Key to tutor for Basalt Monolith.
Wow, I did not think those were mana abilities but I just looked it up and you're right. That really adds to this thing's potential in commander, where untapping with a caged sun in monoblack often means you win.

They said Sorin used the already existing folk magic and tradition in part to make Avacyn. Would fit Sorin used the keys magic to help balance day and night to make Avacyn and let her take the role herself vs the humans needing to do the ritual.

Recently, it seems like Wizards has really been on the ball as far as making fair and balanced designs.
There are a lot more effects that require casting, that only trigger once per turn, or that can only be done as a sorcery. There are fewer cards that incidentally dump a bunch of cards into your graveyard.
I see a lot of players on these boards being absolutely bored with those designs, wanting things they can play in the formats with cards designed before wizards got wise. They want to see the broken cards that slip through when wizards makes a mistake:
In my eyes, this card is a “mistake” not too far from vial, clamp, or top (albeit only in commander). The ability to grab grim/basalt monolith or ashnod’s/phyrexian altar to add redundancy to infinite mana combos in just about every color is huge. The ability to grab a caged sun or the great henge lets this card grab general goodstuff. The fact that this card grabbing a ring/signet/lantern is “the fail case” is bonkers in my mind.
I cab't help but be somewhat disappointed by this card, it's cool and all but I would have thought such a central artifact storywise would amount to more than an uncommon toolbox card.
Bauble ramps on turn 2. This gets land to hand on turn 3.
when you can go faster by getting something that can tap for more than 1 mana of whatever
Something that you still have to pay for. This has powerful cards it can search up, yes, but then it's an artifact tutor, not a ramp spell and therefore not a Wayfarer's Bauble replacement.

AAAnd the same thing can be said about ashnod's altar which is a combo piece

Still an interesting card for getting something like Chromatic Lantern.
