WUFaithless Looting, because the problem with the original is costing 1 mana. The floor is dumping creatures with Disturb in your graveyard for Midnight Hunt Limited. The ceiling? A lot more than you think.
On the one hand, Faithful Mending is a powerful card digging-wise, and filtering 4 cards deep over 2 turns (and gaining 4 life) can be pretty helpful.
On the other hand, it costs 2 mana on the front end instead of 1, and Modern knows that kills hopes of explosive starts with Arclight Phoenix or other graveyard-happy creatures. It's in UW, which does not play nice with the bulk of Madness or Prowess cards (although it kinda plays nice with Magecraft cards). It's multicoloured period, so Lion's Eye Diamond in Legacy can't cast it alone. It draws and then discards, so Modern Dredge would rather stick to Thrilling Discovery because that ditches Dredgers before it draws.
I haven't seen enough disturb cards to make this worthwhile yet in Limited, but drawing extra cards is often very good. Sphinx's Tutelage or even Ominous Seas, and those are barely scratching the surface of possibility.
This looks good, I wonder if Azorius tempo will be playable, this is a powerful card selection spell that lets you dump the 3-mana Disturb guy and a cheap spell with Flashback while digging for a counterspell or something else to disrupt the opponent, all at instant speed. I like it.
This set, and now this card, is really making me want to build the Jeskai EDH deck of "casting from the graveyard matters" that they tried to push a while ago with Sevinne. I think the instant speed could also make it playable in some azorius-inclusive control builds.

Oh yeah, this would be perfect for that deck. I'm even wondering if it has use in the Jeskai cycling deck, one with other cards that care about discarding (not just cycling).

for 2 mana it won't need to be banned lol.
