Hmmm. I don't love the idea of a burn spell that just encourages us all to play more planeswalkers, as if they weren't already pushed enough. It is interestingly mechanically, though.
Nifty use of flashblack and would fit in great with Chandra tribal. So Teferi and Chandra are both here to help, makes sense as Arlinn is an "extra" card they had room for someone else. Also fun since we have two older characters with very much a younger and younger minded character.

Looks like Chandra's grown up/matured a bit since we last saw her in the Spark epilogue. Let's hope for the same type of character development treatment given to Jace in Ixalan was bestowed on her this time around.
That X+1 clause for damage to a creature/planeswalker I think will make a difference in-game.

I love Chandra but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't get a card. They seem willing to let planeswalkers be background characters and not get a planeswalker card. Last time on Innistrad with Eldritch Moon, Jace called in the Gatewatch yet Gideon, Nissa, and even Chandra didn't get planeswalker cards but were in the background art. The Wanderer was on Ikoria. I'm sure in the finale of the story Teferi will call in Chandra and some other allies as backup who get a single card cameo. The Gatewatch has really not been featured in several sets so they need to slowly re-establish their presence.
its a neat use of loyalty i guess. idk, i'm not really that sold on it yet. most of the time when a walker gets up there with a lot of counters on them you're just going to dump them into its ultimate but i guess this'll have its uses. like when you desperately need t nuke something
Fully expected this was going to make it day. Still, cool card xR always feels like too much for damage to creatures, this mitigates that in a neat way, little bit like Purphuros' Intervention.

Not sure outside of super friend deck that matters but you can take loyalty from among all planeswalker cards you have you don't need to take all off one card.

Chandra rounds out our planeswalker cast, bringing a lot of fire with her to cut through the night. Here's your Fireball, Superfriends decks.
