Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (Eldrazi titans in general) is the kind of powerlevel you expect a world-ending death-machine monster to have.
Annihilate as a mechanic is pretty great to enforce that destructive power, as everytime these monsters make a move, the table is shaking up (or the game ends in just 1 attack).
This is the same way I feel about Karona, with how much the character could be capable of the card representation of her isn't the greatest, and to a lesser extent Ludevic what about this necromantic scientist did WotC get someone that helps others?
The thing is, it's nice to have a card or 2 that is on the higher end of the spectrum. Those cards tend to retain most of its value. Some of the cards in this collection does have value just because it just needs more reprint (but not really that popular), but those cards tend to go down in value after being reprinted. There's only a few chase cards in this collection too and some cards are kind of niche. It's "MEH" overall, but I have to admit I really like most, if not all, the art. Too bad the price tag for this one doesn't really reflect its supposed potential. And to think changing 1 or 2 of the cards would've made this a lot better.
Sometimes, I just don't understand Wizards. Putting in 1 higher end card would really make this sell more, thus more profit. But I guess their products are all prepaid by shops anyways so they kinda' sold the products already (and shops will be the one dealing with it actually). I guess they want to save up some cards for their secret lair - a platform where they sell singles directly to the customers sold at premium price. Great job.
Also, when people will ever, ever learn that any character in Magic, no matter how powerful, never is shown his full power on any card, but simply a particular aspect of him in that moment? That's why we have so many different versions of a Jace, Chandra, Liliana etc.
Even the omnipotent JudeoChristian God could have many magic cards associated with him, all of them depicting him doing different particular actions, because obviously not a single card could cover them all. Same with every single MTG character in existence.
yes I’m a aware of that which was taken stolen weaken him but here’s the thing Final Judgment as clearly still this version of O-Kagachi he’s eating that army without breaking a sweat so he’s weaker but should have had a much more powerful ability than what you see on the card.
If people dont get something along that powerlevel they will be disappointed. And if you cannot release a card with that powerlevel, well, simply dont do the card or character, as you set yourself up for failure from the get go.
Or, on other way around : many people are excited to have even a nerfed version of a character they belove and the players thinking every character must be always on their full power and potential are delusional and will almost always be disappointed.

That's more an exception than the rule. Not only we got already nerfed versions of that same eldrazis (without annihilator X for example), but since the beginning of Magic we already had pre-mending planeswalkers with godly powers with underwhelming and and low profile legendary creature cards (Urza as the blind seer, Jeska, Jaya etc.). This always has been the case. Cards like Emrakul or Marit Lage are the exceptions that confirm the rule.
I'd have to go back and look, but I don't think they print and/or sell enough of the Commander Collections to really move the needle on prices. Ophiomancer MIGHT see a dip because its price tag is almost 100% due to scarcity, but I don't think the other cards will move much personally.
