did something hit your head i seen slivers win less than 3 turns i know because 1 i play them 2 i seen it from other players.
They said "most popular in casual," which is definitely true. They're a very small portion of the competitive meta in a couple formats, but quite popular outside tournaments.

Slivers are the definition of 'tribe casual players are obsessed with,' specifically in that they're the epitome of the style of gameplay where if your opponent doesn't interact with you or do something powerful, you just kinda get to go off. The stuff of dreams for Timmys the world over, hence the wildly inflated prices for key pieces. I've known a few sliver EDH players, and if they get left alone they become pretty inexorable but a well-placed piece of interaction or (god forbid) a wrath makes them leave the game immediately.
What if this Kamigawa Neon Dynasty is not a new set, but a remaster with a new "skin" like new frames and art? Seems like that would be an easy cash grab and a somewhat cool product?

You think that, out of all the sets they have ever released, they are gonna make a remaster of original Kamigawa? Never going to happen.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

Not a remaster but we’re gonna find out next week if this is real and what it is since we get to see the lineup for 2022 that dat
If they pared it down to one set, many of those mechanics could be jettisoned for only the most effective ones. Maybe even seed it with some new cards that fit the mechanics.

Never say never with these clowns.
You have a point. Look at the latest showing of Channel and Bushido we saw in MH2. Given the latest environment, I think Bushido would make for some interesting combat interactions and strategies.
Moreover, I'd be down for some properly costed Arcane, maybe even a few Epic multicolour spells.
We won't find out until next week whether this is a legitimate rumour or not, but my hopes are high. Kamigawa has been shat on for like 17 years. I think it's time for its redemption right?

So they bring back Bushido and Ninjutsu and that's the set?
Honestly, making a new Kamigawa set would probably be easier than making a good remaster and reskinning it. They could probably get a bonus sheet out of the old cards if they wanted though.
I'm hoping that we get a Kamigawa equivalent to Strixhaven: Mystical Archives with alternate art / showcase Sensei's Divining Top which is WAY overdue for a reprint at this point though I wouldn't rule out a normal reprint for it in Neon Dynasty. It would also be perfect to tie in more Japanese Anime / Manga inspired illustrations similar to what we saw in War of the Spark. Knowing Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro, they'll probably throw in a popular anime series via Universes Beyond either as a Secret Lair or some other supplementary product like Commander Pre-Cons for example.
As for Dominaria United I'd also really like to see a return to the Atog tribe seeing as how Slivers already have enough support as it is. Maybe they could do some more throwbacks to classic Reserve List cards via Magus of some sort. Some of the more recent ones were for cards outside the Reserve List one of which being Magus of the Bridge representing Bridge from Below. Kinda getting tired of Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro using Changeling as an excuse not to print more support for underappreciated tribes though they mainly give certain Tribes support If it fits within the plane.

Oh man, please let this August 24th reveal Dominaria United and Shandalar: Island In The Mist to be what’s coming! I’ll lose my mind at two chances to get a brand new Sliver hive in Standard again!
Have we gotten key art during the announcement for the next year of sets or are you just setting yourself up for another Tiro tantrum?

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
It would be nice if they continued on with Core Sets again. They bring some good reprints into the game alongside some basic cards that do find homes in decks.
I guess we’ll see whether that’s the case on Tuesday.

If Dominaria United and Shandalar: Island In The Mist are both confirmed, and Slivers make their return in one of them, I'm buying several boxes of it.

Don't get your hopes too high. Slivers didn't return in the other Dominaria return and Shandalar slivers were poorly received
