Last-minute previews today consist of Asmodeus as Griselbrand with lots of extra steps (and zero idea what those face down cards are until you activate that last ability), a Forest-specific Wayfarer's Bauble creature, an Equipment that follows the donning and doffing rules, and a blink dog.
EDIT: Added a spell that deals 3 damage at common. Remember how many X/3s there are in this set?
well there you go people a loophole to get Griselbrand back in edh this is not even close to as broken since he exiles the cards and you need 4 B to draw seven but you lose life
the creative edh syngery trick time
you slow flicker it with the draw 7 on the stack (slow flicker is stays exiled till the the end of turn)
That Asmodeus is totally crazy in Commander. Even in CEDH I would say. I love it, a totally Timmy card. I just don't understand since black can draw seven cards at 3 mana without any conditional drawbacks (like losing lifes, sacrificing creatures etc). Isn't this kinda break of the color pie? I can't recall not even a single blue card drawing so many cards at that rate, and that should tell something since blue should be number 1 color at raw card draw.
With Asmodeus' first ability, you don't get those cards, or even know what they are, until you pay at least 7 life for it.
Asmodeus is quite a stinker here, simply because Griselbrand does it so much better and more broken.
I can play Asmmodeus in EDH, though. So that's a plus. I actually might have a home for him in my Hellbent deck. Being able to prevent myself from drawing while still having the option to get the cards later could come in handy.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
Another stinking anti-combo clause on Leather Armor. This is what, the 12th card where I think "Oh, this looks fun" until I read the last sentence?
You already have Acerak as the broken combo card of this set.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

It's pretty good even without enabling some combo insanity. What more do you want for 1 mana at common?
This card is fine on its own, but I counted and there are 11 cards with clauses like this, not counting the ubiquitous "activate only as a sorcery." Does Clever Conjurer really need to not untap itself? Does Sepulcher Ghoul really need the once per turn restriction? I'm not asking for the next Splinter Twin, I just want stupid janky 3 or 4 card combos for my Commander decks. I was not under the impression that Shuko combos were overpowered. Honestly, I think the combos were the only reason people cared about Shuko at all.

They do that because of Magic Arena ... i bet you.
The moment you can activate something and keep going, you can just keep doing it and the clock doesnt run out.
To avoid that, they design cards to avoid the issue (instead of having s software solution you would expect).

Magic Arena has a direct effect on how they design cards ... and i think thats awful on its own.

EDIT: nvm, reading is tech lol
the creative edh syngery trick time
you slow flicker it with the draw 7 on the stack (slow flicker is stays exiled till the the end of turn)
with cards like mistmeadow witch and Roon of the hidden realm you just straight up draw 7 no life loss but you need more than 4 mana for this trick though
still, his interation with Brainstorm if you're empty handed is kinda crazy. lol.
Oh, and it hoses your draw step too, not cool.
so the cards go straight to hand without any loss of life.
then win the game from there.
or, of course, with effects that say "you can't lose the game"
either way, you're still going to need a deck capable of paying high amounts of black mana, though.

and after shooting him with Dark Impostor and a one time draw 7 with Skill Borrower if Asmodeus is on top
Pithing Needle him , almost as hilarious.

Just... don't activate him then.
Now that is hilarious.

And another one: Platinum Emperion, which also is great in a monoblack deck with:
I have a deck where he's the "Pseudo-commander". I work towards getting it out with Lightning Greaves, just so I can play all the other stuff.
but I’m 90% certain that Dryad will be more heavily played.
You summoned the Archduke of The Nine Hells what did you expect?

People want "broken" combo enables for their janky equipment decks (ala Shuko and Lightning Greaves)
