Today Gavin talks about how the Class subtype was born, and also enumerates how many each color and color pair has. His preview also reminds us of how much RW Equipment we're drowning in.
That being said... this is a damn strong RW equipment enabler. Level 2 almost pays for itself when you want to equip something and after that you have return of investment. And level 3 is pretty good spot removal.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
What? I assume you were commenting on a different card?
Once this thing is at level 3, every time you attack you get to force something to block. In RW equipment this likely means you get to kill the creature forced to block. I think the comment you quoted makes perfect sense.
So this tutors for Sunforger and makes it cost only 1RW to tutor for and cast red/white instants. Neat, although it doesn't discount Sunforger itself, and equipping the first Sunforger is still effectively quite expensive as you pay for Level 2.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Paladins would either me mono-white or white/X depending on what their oath is.
This card is stronger than it seems, a 2-mana tutor alone is very decent without the rest of the level-up stuff.
