Never really thought Dhocking Grasp would be a blue card. I think it's more of a red effect, dealing damage and that's about it. Maybe just a small amount of damage comment nothing big. I would think something that gives a -2/-0 would be more like a dungeons & dragons spell that reduces strength. It would also be a permanent debilitation.
I guess lightning is considered blue for....some reason.
It's one of the oddities of colors in Magic vs D&D. All the Dragons should be base-black, but we're getting two whole cycles of monocolor Dragons because of their names. Among them, the Blue Dragon uses lightning. Thus, this card.

I think dragons are a special case because of their colors/elements, we know chromatic dragons are generally evil, but something evil can still be different colors. For Shocking Grasp a general damage spell being an offensive reduction is strange, to say the least.
Why wasn't this card Ray of Enfeeblement? The spell literally reduces something's offensive power, it would have fit perfectly.
I guess stopping reactions is equivalent to -2/-0? Weird.
I think "Target creature can't block this turn" would have been a much better representation of losing reactions, and would have fit on the red card Shocking Grasp should have been too.
We've come a long, long way from Turn the Tide. Now we just cantrip with it.

Art is life itself.
