Wait, have they decided phasing is just OK now? It wasn't just a special Teferi thing?
"Other target crearures" means you can only save your board from a Wrath, can't also keep your 3/2, but maybe that would have been too much.
yep I remember now
maro said phase out/phase in is way lower on the storm scale than “phasing” (much easier to implement in standard) and sadly a way to reduce abusable ETB effects cards.
Too bad phasing doesn't cause ETB / LTB abilities to trigger like blink / flicker abilities do since it would need to change zones in order for those abilities to trigger. Otherwise this would've been a great addition to those type of decks. Still provides solid protection even though you don't get as much value unless If Guardian of Faith's oracle text said instead, "Flash - Vigilance - When Guardian of Faith enters the battlefield, exile any number of target creatures you control then return them to the battlefield under your control." Would've made it more broken in Standard but in Commander it would've been more playable.
Only reason why you would run Teferi's Protection is because unlike how situational Angel's Grace is it actually saves you a turn. Similar to Brago, King Eternal, Guardian of Faith can even phase himself out with his own ability which is what you're probably better off doing anyway since anything that's enchanted or equipped onto him is going to fall off. Unless If I'm mistaken that only applies to blink / flicker abilities and not phasing. Might need to get an official ruling on that later. I want to say Guardian of Faith is good enough to be played in Commander but the fact remains that because it's phasing and not blink / flicker it's A LOT less abuseable.

Well, it all depends how overall works your deck. If instead of ETB effects you have lots of +1/+1 counters, ability counters, auras, equipments and such, Phasing is much better in this cases.

wait a minute… I though this was a teaser for the commander decks is it a double dip for for standard and commander?
anyway I absolutely love this for flicker decks this is as close as it gets for a budget alternative to teferi's protection
