One of the fangs of Yeenoghu brings the Gnoll creature type to the game, as well as a lot of power for the pack tactics archetype in Limited.
This seems like an easy include for the Pack Tactics EDH deck I'm obviously going to eventually build. If there's one thing I love in a commander deck, it's slipshod themes. I really don't find joy in playing overly powerful EDH decks, my friends and I used to play 3 or 4 power level decks and just spend a whole night in a single game—ordering pizza, and drinking beer. Good times!
Oh dang I remember Gnolls from the compendium. It's nice to see these new creature types but given their affiliation with D&D I doubt we'll be seeing them elsewhere in Magic's regularly scheduled canon.
I like the Pack Tactics ability. It's like Ferocious with more rawr.
