Today's YouTube video has another modal spell with ability words, the white member of the manland cycle, a burning skull that can replace itself, and Ingeloakastimizilian itself.
I don’t like those roleplay actions in rules text box. Hate it in AEG’s card games. At least they are not in the middle of the text but it looks soo bad should be on the flavor text imho.
Like the use of d20 but hope there isn’t a good card with it.
Why does an ancient white dragon is just a 4/3? lol (i know they are one of the weakest chromatics but it can’t even defend vs the dragonland..)
Are they going with the literal white dragons are white creatures, red dragons are red creatures, blue dragons are blue creatures, etc?
Nice cards, but with current prices for sealed product are these really cards we want to open as mythics in our packs? Most of the rares so far look like €0,50 junk as well.
The elf has a lot of potential to be popular though.
The Blackstaff of Waterdeep will be pretty cool in any deck with enough artifacts (e.g. the Modern U/X Asmor Food decks that have been popular lately).
Treasure Chest seems like such a gamble in Tron decks. You either get a mana bump you might not need, 3 life and 3 cards (I guess that's not too bad a rate for 7 mana), you just might lose 3 life, or you just might be able to tutor for a card or cheat in Wurmcoil Engine. Honestly, I'd almost rather have the 3 mana and 3 cards than the tutor.
Oh at least they are italic and therefore highlighted as pure flavor stuff... I mean AEG had the audacity to just shove that in there without any highlight or explanation. :/

That black staff is God awful. What a hose to lore from another plane.
As bad as Urza'Saga?

Lots of stuff today. First new Play Design member Ben Lundquist talks about one of the many cards he helped design, Clayton Kroh talks about how all the frame treatments for the set came about, while the Product Overview and Collection AFR articles have Max McCall explaining all of the confusing products we have, as well as dropping the first card to use a D20 in black-border Magic. Meanwhile, an update to the Mechanics article shows how ability words are used in this set.

Hold on, Sam Guay? Is this a dynasty? That looks very much like Rebecca Guay's style.

dice rolling is in Black border now
depends but I wonder if some of those unstable cards that involve dice rolling can get functional reprints in the future now.
most particular for this case Sword of Dungeons & Dragons
Plundering Barbarian is a fun Manic Vandal variant.

That Cradle wannabe is going to fetch a commanding price I bet. Icingdeath not being a snow legendary creature makes me sad.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Treasure Chest is silver border meets standard magic.
I like the skeleton a lot. 3/1 flying for 3 who won't stay dead or will draw a card, you choose, nice.
the white manland is also fine.
that white dragon is pretty great

Ya urzas saga was very counterintuitive. This card unfortunately is not. I wish I was missing something on it.
