The card itself isn't bad by any stretch, solid man-land. The frame is certainly interesting, hopefully it's just an alternate treatment like the Ikoria comic book arts. You'd think they would have mentioned it alongside the other announced alt frames though.
It is a different type of Raging Ravine. In a nutshell its worse cause ravine has trample after one turn it is above bolt range (without the need to 2for1) and can add 2 colors, if you have any anthem for any creatures or goblins then it represents more dmg overall and it also enters untapped.
Don’t know about modern play, it can be good but most of the times it will just be a mountain under a blood moon that you own.
Good standard card.
Guess that it can be a goblin commander staple. Also maybe a pioneer allstar on redgreen.
I actually do have nostalgia for the books that looked like this, but I'm not loving it on a magic card. The whole crossover set thing is still sticking in my throat I guess.
The card is quite good. It's a bit like Crawling Barrens in that it gives you tangible rewards per activation.
Bugbears are goblins? Well they are goblinoids. Alright, you got me this time.
Are Bugbear's a type of goblin in D&D lore? I thought they were their own unique race. I guess they don't want to create additional types that aren't unique to MTG's multiverse. Still that's pretty darn spiffy.
That advert-style frame is...weird?

They are in a group called goblinoids along with hobgoblins and others. They're bigger and hairier, but they're cousins to goblins.

Hobgoblins were also given the creature type goblin in Eventide, so there is precedent for goblinoids all being goblins.
Bugbears are indeed goblinoid as are hobgoblins. DnD has a variety of goblin races although with 5e only Bugbear and Goblin are playable.
Hobgoblins are also a playable race. They're all 3 in Volo's Guide to Monsters. There's also a Feywild hobgoblin in the recent fey folk UA.
As for the card itself, I don't care much for the visual treatment of the card. It took me a second to realize I was actually looking at a CARD, having initially scrolled right past it. Certainly when it's a pysical card in front of you it's obvious, and at least it's fully legible unlike some past treatments (Amonkhet invocations, the heavy metal secret lair), I suppose I simply lack the nostalgia for the design given that I started D&D with 5e.
A very interesting card, feels really busy. It's a fast land that's also a manland that's also a token producer. Surprised it didn't have a basic land type on it too.
I do not like the showcase frame going on there. It's very apparent what they're going for, but I can't enjoy it. That is way too much bright red and feels like a lot of empty space with almost nothing going on. It's like someone took a bright red marker over most of the card. The D&D title in the corner is strange. Maybe it's me not liking these crossover sets, but this showcase frame is just....wow, and not in the good way.
What an atrocious frame. Aside from the card name, none of the text above the image has any relevance to MtG - it's just nostalgia bait. Also, guess what that red card in your hand is at a glance - that's right, it's a colorless land.
The game is really going downhill fast with all this crossover stuff. I'm happy that I jumped ship.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
I don't understand. Is "an adventure for characters Lv 17-20" has anything to do with Magic gameplay or is simply there for flavor reasons? Super confusing, it's very hard, especially for new players to understand where the flavor ends and the real card text begin.

It's meant to look like D&D books/modules. All of the non card name stuff is rather superfluous and kind of pollutes the top quarter of the card, so much it looks like the text is smaller.
I love the idea of the frame, i love how it looks, however i feel like im going to absolutely hate seeing them on the tabletop. Its just so far from the look of a magic card

Seems a terrible idea. Players who got no idea (like me) how D&D works, have no idea what's going on on the card also. The worst thing is that leveling is a thing in Magic too (Immediately brought up the level counters to mind)

God forbid promo frames throwing a bone to old D&D players in the D&D set, right?
Sadly "criticism" like this make the actual reasonable criticism drown in a bottomless sea of crying for the sake of crying.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
The whole D&D presentation on mtg cards, if this is what some of the cards will be offered as collectible printings of, looks ugly to me. I'm staying away from that if this set has anything I want.

Throw a bone? The entire set is enough bones to construct a whale skeleton.
Also, there it is the "if you dislike something you're just crying" comment because you can never dislike something only ever like things unconditionally.
now we got the real preview its starcity games

To call that a "legal" magic card is downright insulting.
Imagine someone has a deck full of these cards ... it makes the game downright unplayable ...

Non-leak source is StarCityGames. Looks like the regular version does the negative space thing Hive of the Eye Tyrant does.
The normal version looks so much better.
