In Modern, the floor is a fetchland. The ceiling is Griselbrand, Emrakul, and other gigantic creatures. Choose very carefully... or just play a second copy and deal 6 damage normally.
I dont normally say this but that card is one of the money rares in the set hands down. Whether the card lives up to the real world applications it was designed for we will see but at least its VERY playable.
I guess they really wanna get rid of graveyard decks. an unblockable 3/2 two-drop might actually see a little play without any further abilities.
I usually like strong cards, but I really think this should have been a little bit weaker. I mean, as long as your black deck plays creatures, the question is really more like "do you play 4 of this?", not "do you play this?", unless graveyard decks disappear completely (and even then it's powerful).
After countless attempts to hurt tron decks by taking away their mana base, this one card may be what hurts Tron the most. It is entirely reasonable for black modern decks to mainboard 2-4 of these in game 1 and stealing an opponent's karn with Thoughtseize before exiling one of their tron pieces on turn 3 is pretty much game over. In such a match-up, it really becomes a matter of who goes first.
Of course, this deck also hurts all flavors of reanimator, dredge, and forces storm decks to answer this before they start going off as no graveyard means being unable to double up with past in flames.
Watch your opponent always make sure to kill Dauthi Voidwalker on their turn so it never gets the chance to parting shot with one of their exiled non-instant, non-Flash cards.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
Yep, this thing is killer. A Shadow 3/2 creature for BB alone would make a good aggressive uncommon. This looks more like a "mythic-but-luckily-they-did-not-make-it-mythic" rare!!!
Pretty unbalanced two-drop, almost seems like a joke. A 3/2 shadow for 2 is already extremely good. If black gets this, we now have to up the bar on what green gets for two mana. Talara's Battalion without a drawback coming to a set near you
One relevant thing to remember is that a 3/2 Shadow creature is not the same thing as a 3/2 unblockable. Sure, it likely won't be blocked, but it also won't be blocking much either. This is going to be an absolutely awful card to drop when you're behind. Voidwalker will be great when you're ahead and the 3 damage a turn is relevant pressure, but I think people will be disappointed if they think a BB 3/2 shadow creature with no other rules would be playable outside the most aggro of decks.

Interesting that mtg gives the Dauthi reference the last time was Nether Traitor which wasn't Dauthi, I wonder if there will be new stuff someday for the soltary and thalakos.
or even a land, equipment, aura and instant that gives shadow to other non-creatures
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
One thing one has to think about is weighing attacking vs. being able to react at instant-speed to anything of interest being exiled, which may be necessary, e.g., stealing a big beater at the end of your opponent's turn so it gets pseudo-haste and ends the game the following turn.
(As the card says "you may play it this turn" I don't see any usual timing restrictions apply, you should be able to play sorceries and permanents on your opponent's turn, right? Mayby only if the stack is empty...)

Because it says "this turn", you have to obey all the normal timing restrictions. So you'd only be able to steal instants during your opponent's turn, likely to prevent the shenanigans you're mentioning.

THIS IS BEYOND BUSTED! ABSOLUTELY HATES OUT HUNDREDS OF EFFECTS ESPECIALLY THE ELDRAZI TITANS! AND YOU CAN SAC IT TO STEAL SOMETHING EXILED
by the way don't forget about thoughtseize effects
So not only it’s highly playable in modern and Edh it might have a shot in legacy

this thing is completely crazy.
it's very strong graveyard hate and main deck material.

Man, I remember when people played Soltari Priest...
This is an aggro card, for sure. It gets damage through and it hoses dredge and every now and then it steals something ridiculous.
