Here's your signpost uncommon for the MH2 GU token decks. You can dump your Clues, Food, Treasures, Thopters, Oozes, Squirrels, etc into this, and get around board stalls.
For all the youtube content creators out there this should be pronounced....
COM-bine with the stress on the first syllable. Like the Simic Combine, the noun. Not the verb com-BINE. Just had to bring this up to satisfy my inner pronunciation nerd.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

The number of youtube content creators than cannot pronounce words correctly is maddening.

You are welcome, lets hope they follow Jake and Joel or read this post. Mispronunciations drive me up a wall and a lot of the "popular" you-tubers talk as if they have a 2nd grade education at times.

I was stumped about the flavour for a bit, wondering how this is supposed to combine anything.
Then I realized it's a "Simic Combine" Chrysalis. (And the name suddenly soudned less awkward as well, haha.)
Not that the flavour is that much better, with the proper pronounciation, but whatever.

But this leads to the question of how many peple call it the Simic Com-BINE!

I mean it's a really weird simic card too. Both the flavor and the mechanics are kinda off.
First we have that boros legendary that uses golems. Now a simic card about sacrifice/tokens. Are they shifting the guilds' identity?

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

I think they just wanted to make some Ravnica cards, but had to work with MH2's themes.

I mean, I get what they were trying to go for with the second ability. You put in a creature (or a treasure/clue/food...) and out comes a big monster, kinda like Rapid Hybridization, but I have no idea how the first ability is supposed to tie into this? I guess butterflies?! But like... What.
When I saw the card name I thought it was going to be a homage to Cocoon (that combines creatures). To me a chrysalis/cocoon always implies slow change, not instant transformation.

From deeper knowelge of vorthos than I, apparently the legendary and the golems part is in the original books.

They said it was like a line or two in the first novel when Agrus Kos sees a bust of General Ferrous Rokiric and says something along the line of "oh he created the golems that guard the city way in the past".

.... so the 10 building-sized titans that guards Ravnica are 4/4? It's still a weird card to me

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind could probably have good fight with one. Seems reasonable.
