I feel like Esper Sentinel's true power is in being a one-drop. Either it accumulated cards in your hand slowly, or your Gavony Township means no first noncreature spell is getting through without consequences again.
Pitch StP at mythic, that one will be expensive. I'm excited by the set so far, great reprints, great new cards. But man, modern won't be getting cheaper.
Okay, with Ranger getting added as a type to older cards, will we see that with Phyrexian, too?
They said they were going to but that it would be difficult because its not easy to tell which older cards are phyrexian and which are just zombies or something else.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

This was already known from the Quirion Ranger reprint on the 26th.
Having Sterling Grove, Solitary Confinement, and Enchantress's Presence in Modern will power up that deck type a lot.
