I'm very confused as to how Iridescent Hornbeetle interacts with this card at all. Hornbeetle gives you extra insects, once per turn, once you've already put +1/+1 counters on something. So while Hornbeetle does synergize with the same stuff that enables this card, it doesn't create an infinite loop, even with a nudge.
So, you have all these counters, but there are so many blockers in your way. Hear me out.
Or just go with some ramp and ivy lane denizen.
