Is it just me, or is it ever so slightly disconcerting to see the more old-school and simpler landscape designs in the modern card frame? I mean, they look great, just a bit weird to someone who's been playing since '94 haha
Anyone kind enough to post which sets these basics are originally from?
With as much etched foils as they're putting in these packs, I'm hoping they're better than what Strixhaven had.
The Douglas Shuler Island is from Mirage. Donato Island is from Urza’s Saga. Odyssy: both Plains, Jerry Swamp, Tony Mountian, Alexander Forest. The Pete Venters Swamp, the other Forest and other mountain are from Onslaught.
It's good to see some of those lands back. I'm a big fan of some of the older land arts or the core set basics, beautiful landscapes full of the artists' vision with much less setting constraints. I'm still playing my foil Tony Szczudlo mountain to this day, one of my favorite mountains ever, same with the Eric Peterson plains.
