I'm a bit disappointed exactly one of those lands didn't get flavor text, though Godless Shrine already says it all.

Heck, every day I wake up, I don't go out and kill people - and I'm rewarded by not having legions of enemies! Amazing how that works.
Although ninjas are experts of camouflage and concealment, they are actually horrible liars. This means that no matter where you are, you can shout out, “Are there any ninjas here?” and if there’s a ninja within earshot, he’ll be compelled to respond.
Why doesn't that Godless Shrine have flavor text? It seems trivially easy and super flavorful to mention the now-wind-eroded horns of the false God-Pharaoh.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
As an flavor-centered EDH player, I've always been hoping for a Breeding Pool with more whimsical art. Instead we get a Breeding Pool with horror art. I mean, i guess the name "Breeding Pool" is hard to match with any whimsical concept, but still - I've like a broader variety of what's being depicted in my art. Like maybe a nice pond where cute frogs lay their eggs...
How dare Hallowed Fountain not be set on Theros. Or Breeding Pool.
Only the Expedition Breeding Pool has art that I actually like. Ever incarnation of that card has this artificial city or metal plane theme to it that never manages to feel UG to me. But who wants to bother with ZEN expeditions... reprint them with a regular frame then.
Love the Temple Garden and Watery Grave though. Too bad I can't use Black in my Sea Monster deck

Yeah, what a missed opportunity. I feel bad for this plane!!! It has suffered a fate worse than Mirrodin (ok, that is debatable). Losing their Gods, discovering their life and afterlife are a sham. How I wish we retuen to this plane and have them heal, though story wise there wouldn’t be much now.

With the Hekma destroyed, the false God-Pharaoh's wind-eroded horns now loom on the horizon as a final reminder of what Naktamun once was.
There, we can at least imagine that blurb at the bottom.

Do you think its possible that the AFR set could have these shock lands? I mean then they would be standard/brawl legal to use this shocklands secret lair.

Agreed. It could be a card on Theros (a tide pool), Lorwyn (one of the many small bodies of water there), Zendikar (the expedition had amazing art), or even Ixalan (has that tropical climate)
Instead we've only had horror art and unnatural city/Ravnica art for it, which is perplexing and off theme for it IMO

Well, the name "Breeding Pool" does kind of have an artificial flavor to it. It heavily implies bioengineering.

Breeding Pool to me implies natural biology, where aquatic creatures are mating. A rich habitat of diverse marine organisms.
all but the godless shrine have a flavor text ... why ?
also i think it is kind of weird that the flavor text on some cards doesnt match the color idendity of the person that is quotet. (also the artwork, like in godless shrine)
temple garden and karametra works for me
overgrown tomb and marchesa doesnt :/

Its new arts for the shocklands so safe bet these are for ultimate edition 3 and possible 4 if separated into 5 each
also each seems to be a different plane like the fetch lands were here is each plane
•Godless Shrine: Amonkhet
•Hallowed Fountain: Kylem
•Watery Grave: Ixalan
•Blood Crypt: Innistrad
•Stomping Ground: Tarkir
•Temple Garden: Theros
•Steam Vents: Dominaria
•Overgrown Tomb: Fiora
•Sacred Foundry: Kaladesh
•Breeding Pool: New Phyrexia (I’m interested in the flavor text in this one)
sadly I can wager easily the shock lairs will be $100+ easily

Also, Seb McKinnon Blood Crypt YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
These are really nice, I must say. So probably they will be expensive.
