The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
"Those who say money can't buy happiness clearly don't have enough."

He’s half right. Money can’t buy “every” happiness, but it can prevent certain misery from happening, such as unable to pay the medical bills for your loved ones.
Though in Karlov’s case, it’s also possible that his joy comes solely from gathering more wealth, which indeed buys all of HIS happiness.
Money does buy reserved list cards and that is just pure happiness.
Looking at recent price developments, money buys a lot less reserved list cards these days, making for pure unhappiness. I will probably never finish my Legends collection now.
Concerning the cards at hand... Let's just say I was unaware how darn expensive these are! €22+ for Karlov??? And of course this is the first foiling.
I wish one day they will complete the cycle and make to all the members of the Obzedat their own individual card.
I hope so as well; and I'm STILL mad that Kaya came in and just killed them all off. Hopefully we can get cards of them from a historical retrospective standpoint, because they won't be returning in a standard Ravnica set anytime soon.
As someone who read the first Ravnica block's novels, I'm kinda upset by the notion of Augustin IV being associated with the term "great leader".
Although, the quote is most likely his own, so it's definitely in-character.
'^^
I'm mainly just posting this because, while Karlov's card on its own makes it clear he's a bad guy, people who know nothing about Augustin IV might think he was a good guy just going by the card.

It is a great way to highlight his character and how greedy, pompous, and power-hungry he was.
