Choose one—
• Target creature you control fights target creature you don’t control.
• Counter target noncreature spell unless its controller pays 3. "...I've heard enough."
Leyline Invocation 5G

Create a 0/0 green and blue Fractal creature token. Put X +1/+1 counters on it, where X is the number of lands you control. "Do you still think my work is nothing but dry, boring equations?"

A better translation for the flavor text of Resolute Rejection is "I've heard enough.". Makes a bit more sense with what is depicted here too. I like the card very much, a nice combination of effects. Leyline Invocation is probably Limited fodder, but not bad for what it is.
instant fight for 2 mana is nice.
mana leak for non creatures for 2 mana, also nice.
UG seems to be the color of big and dumb creatures this time.
those fractals will be a big nuisance.
"Big Dumb" (or big and clunky) seems to be the overall theme of the set, not just UG.
Agreed about the card, though. Two useful, not terribly overcosted modes.
Resolute Rejection might be one of the most maindeckable fight cards ever printed. Normally fight cards suck when your opponent doesn't have any creatures, but this just becomes a Mana Leak in those matchups, so it is literally relevant in every matchup I can think of.
Yea, the fight-leak is quite flexible and only really bad if your creature gets killed in response to the fighting (which in general is what makes fight spells so terrible in constructed).

More Fractals, and more promos.
