Devastating Mastery
Sorcery (R)
You may pay rather than pay this spell's mana cost.
If the cost was paid, an opponent chooses up to two nonland permanents they control and returns them to their owner's hand.
Destroy all nonland permanents.
Secret Rendezvous
Sorcery (U)
You and target opponent each draw three cards.
Pretty solid looking planar cleansing variant. And there's the white card draw spell. Kinda meh, but the art on that card....hmmmmm…..
It would have been cool if you could split the cards that would be drawn between multiple opponents or just one... Having a choice about the distribution of those cards would have been nice. I think the card could see play in EDH. If you are in white than you are most likely behind in the first place. Giving cards to another player who is behind should be good for you.
I don't understand the wrath, tho. Can I choose the opponent for the returning cards effect? I would expect the wording: Target opponent or something similar. I don't think that the opponent is chosen randomly. Well I think you choose the opponent and that opponent return 2 permanents of his choice to their hand. I mean this is also good for multiplayer for the same reasons. On the other hand we had already good wrath effects and some unconditional 4CC wrath effects. Oh... returning permanents to the hand can be better against some graveyard decks. So maybe this could be the first card in the set I really want...
Secret Rendezvous once again proves that when Wizards opens new design space, it tends to start off reallybad.
Devastating Mastery might be playable in Standard if go-wide decks begin to completely take over the meta (so right now, yes), but it's fighting for space with Doomskar. Commander will like it, however.
the card draw art makes me smile and i hope it gets an art card <3
but the spell is infuriating. WotC really struggles with the idea of 'card advantage'. it's not just about DRAWING cards, it's about if i us a spell slot to draw cards, I want to draw more cards than my opponent, not make it just as good as them drawing 3 for free. if each opponent drew ONE card it would be much better.

Devastating Mastery's wording is confusing. If in a multiplayer game, which opponent returns permanents?
Whenever a card says "an opponent" you choose which opponent that is, like with Fact or Fiction. It just doesn't target so that something like an opponent's Leyline of Sanctity doesn't let you avoid the downside.

The wording is the same as something like Fact or Fiction, or anything with Clash. That is, since it is not a target, the choice is made on resolution so you just choose the player on resolution. So, you can choose the player that either sacrificed all their stuff in response or the player that already doesn't have much on the field.
So this is how they're going to handle card draw in white, huh? Your opponent also gets to draw, but better and for free. The players are going to love it...
