Quandrix Day started several hours ago, and now we're in full swing. See if you can understand equations with Stybs here. Don't forget to keep counting, and we can build up something BIG with your lands, cards in hand, +1/+1 counters, EVERYTHING.
Today's Card Image Gallery dump is the Mage Tower stadium (among other sportsball games), another thing that discards into Treasure, and your new favorite Isochron Scepter target.
EDIT: Adding Archway Commons, aka thefourthtime we got this exact same effect.
EDIT 2: Apparently the Stadium was the preview of the Apple App Store. Good job, guy who dropped it way in advance.
I mean, I don't really get a Harry Potter vibe from it. A school having some sort of sports team and a stadium it plays in is hardly isolated to the Harry Potter universe.
I do have a rules question for the stadium - If it's at seven point counters, you attack three opponents with three creatures (assume no first/double strike) and they all deal combat damage, do all three players lose the game at once? What if it's at nine or ten point counters before the attack?

Once the creature hits. You check for 10 or more counters, then remove all of them. So you would need to "charge" it again after someone loses the game with it.
Strixhaven Stadium is pretty good. Will punish those durdly Commander players big time. Zimone, Quandrix Prodigy on the other hand is as boring as stale sliced bread.

That ability is a triggered ability with a secondary condition. It will trigger when you hit the opponent, once for each opponent. Said triggers will go on the stack, resolve one by one, and only the last trigger will cause a player to lose the game.
The stadium is a very interesting design. I like how it can create a back and forth without ever fully backfiring on you. At worst, if your opponent is "winning" you end up with a crappy mana rock. At best, it gives you an alternate win con. It also presents an amusing conundrum against a control deck. They can kinda sorta ignore it, but since they won't typically be stripping counters off, it can use its mana ability to build up points and eventually get to the point where any attack becomes lethal.

And then I swung, 1 time with Flying Men and it was GG.
The Stadium will be fun with Manifold Key and Voltaic Key shenanigans, plus the host of other artifact trickery out there. I can see that getting a handful of point counter every turn in the right deck.
didnt they say no H.P. stuff ? the stadium looks kinda "inspired" by that
Yes Maro said it wasn't HP inspired but you can see card after card they had planned for crossover versions, so he is blowing smoke. This card is the Quiddich Pitch, the new UG Prodigal Student is Hermione, Codie is the Sorting Hat and there are a slew of others. Its obvious it was designed with HP in mind then they didn't get (or didn't want) to get the property rights for those.

Almost every magic school in fiction (heck, most real-life colleges) has a stadium, Codie and the Sorting Hat are both supposed to be mascots, and Zimone is one of the oldest tropes around. Please, please read more than just Harry Potter.
I definitely don't see a whole ton of Harry Potter, I see the same basic tropes and university window dressing Rowling drew on. The sweet little girl who is smarter than her older peers and very excited to learn predates coed schools being the norm. The thing with looking at this stuff and seeing Harry Potter is that Rowling really had very few new ideas. Her characters were charming and really carried it, and a few of the details were nice, but as someone who absolutely loves those books even now and has been reading them since i was a child, she really didn't have hardly any ideas that were original even then.
I need that Stadium, I want to build something stupid with it!

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
Would be better if the Stadium had something smaller going for it, so points matter, and not just 10 you lose (all the "you lose" effects are just plain annoying and overkill).

I guess this is what happens when people only watch popular movies. Seriously, thinking Harry Potter invented... smart kid at school? Sheesh.

I think it was inspired by.... stadiums.
Well, they mentioned the "Mage Tower" sport in the twitch preview stream already...
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)

Seems fun in Derevi, Empyrial Tactician.

the Harry potter inspiration is oozing everywhere.
and this stadium thing seems pretty underwhelming as a magic card... haha
Not really. *confused* Honestly it's pretty different from most magical school takes because of the emphasis on real world subjects.
Uhh... have you ever been to a real school? They've got stadiums there too, you know.
Even the sport is nothing like Harry Potter. It's essentially capture the flag with magic, not broom riding and throwing balls into hoops.
