So, you can take what's in the Box A: X, Y & Z (worth 1 trillion dollars)... or what's in Box B... (the only difference is that we KNOW what's in box B... it's crap, it's the Jelly of the Month Club, the gift that keeps on giving)
Not sure if I dig this "lots of average things" effect on such an expensive card, would probably prefer one great thing. And the "ditch mode" is pretty bad. On the other hand, there could be some more cost-reduction to help the main mode and branching out to Lorehold graveyard shenanigans could make the ditch mode interesting.
The flavor fits quite well, though.
Its kinda like a Ultimate , being instant is something.
Early acts like a small ramp, can basically "destroy target planeswalker" in some way and does basically something of anything.
Artwork is nice, cards not particularly amazing, but if its good, this kind of "finisher" does the trick (maybe just together with Shark Typhoon to guarantee an endless stream of tokens, or accelerate into it with the treasure, might be worth it in standard at least).
Discarding it to make a Treasure token at instant speed seems pretty strong, actually. EOT setting up an extra mama for next turn while holding up countermagic seems great. It's also another way to get more instants and sorceries into your yard for decks that want that, either for spell card counts of to cast for free. I like it.
you are not supposed to play this card from your hand (but ofc you can still do that)
it literally screams at your face "play me from the graveyard for free"
I agree. It's absurdly easy to just cycle this for a Treasure T2 then cast Efreet Flamepainter T3 and potentially cast this T4. As of right now, relying solely on Efreet Flamepainter is too risky but I could see this being a real player if "cheating spells" ends up being a theme in Prismari.
In Historic Torrential Gearhulk kovesboth of these modes. I'm not sure it's as good as Sublime Epiphany in the Gearhulk deck but it's a fun toy to add to that she'll.
Feels a pretty meh mythic really. Like people have said the idea is to cheat the instant out somehow, but I don't really envisage such a deck being good. Alone it's way too expensive.

I'd probably have Epiphany instead, and there are goodcompellingarguments to go Dimir instead of Prismari in a Gearhulk shell.

I'm currently Azorious Gearhulk in Bo3 and love that deck to bits but am sorely tempted to add red for uncounterable Chandra so anything that giv s me the edge there is welcome. The fact that I can Gearhulk, Epiphany into a copy of Gearhulk and then cast this off the copy seems pretty good and having the treasure token is a fairly big deal to boot. Though I don't disagree that Dimir Geerhulk is a thing.

If you are Jeskai though you might as well run Inspired Ultimatum which is better than this.
The ability to "cycle" these to get a treasure in this colour pair helps mitigate the heavy mana investment. It makes it so it's not a dead card. That said, wow...
For 8 mana though, I think there are other game-winning spells at that MV worth investing in, unless you can recast this turn after turn after turn with/without spending as much mana.

It's a great card, no doubt, but Gearhulk doesn't see it.

Also, I feel like people are missing that cycling this for a Treasure helps you cast Gearhulk a turn earlier.

I think my prefered play series is cycle this on T2, Probably Absorb on 3, then wrath or Behold The Multiverse (or foretell 2 cards) on 4 then T5 Epiphany for counter bounce and draw then T6 is Gearhulk, Epiphany, token, Opus. I feel like at that point we should be winning.

Or you could go straight-up Prismari colors and use another counter,Electrolyze and Memory Lapse are heading into Historic so I wouldn't be surprised if we get THREE different Gearhulk flavors running around,UR lacks Teferi or hand disruption but has better exile removal for little dorks and uncounterable Chandra of fiery DOOM.

Chandra, Fiery Doom is 100% the r Asin to entertain red. I am very fond of my current build and am hesitant to go all in on Izzet rather than Jeskai. But, to do Jeskai I think I need to go to 80 cards and the Sky Noodle. So not sure I love that either. Teferi, Doomskar, Birth of Mellitus and Dawn Of Hope are all so good. I'm running the Cavalier of Dawn/ECD loop right now but will probably move Cavalier back to the sideboard.

That's a lot of stuff you have going on, Prismari. Wonder if all the free spells and cost reduction we have floating around would help out here.

the card does a ton of stuff, but hell, at 8 mana, the least I expect is that it's a bomb big enough to win the game, this is not.
dunno, it's not a very interesting weird card as well because all effects are pretty standard.
meh, pretty uninspired mythic.

Your opponent looks at your board. Sees only three untapped Mountains. Casts Emergent Ultimatum, extends their hand and says "good game". And then ...
