That's right, we're Boros reanimator now. We even protect our reanimator targets. Oh, and a Cathartic Reunion variant that doesn't have the discard as a cost (so counterspells won't screw you over).
holy cow I just revamped my spirit tribal deck at this rate I got to do it again due to lorehold synergy with spirits
got a rules question for judges if I had a token versions of iname, life aspect or iname as one from this card and the token dies can I do it’s death trigger thing and still keep the real one (Basicly say yes to death trigger on token but still returns the real one to the grave)
What is the sequence of actions here? Do the creatures hit the yard briefly before getting exiled, thus triggering all the "leaves yard" effects?
It's not a replacement effect, so he definitely works with elephant bro. If both Hofri and Quintorius are in play and a critter dies, you get it back plus a 5/3 hasty spirit.

I’m not a judge, but I’m pretty sure the answer is no. Both use this wording “When CARDNAME dies, you may exile it. If you do, return...” I bolded the important bit. The token copies would go to the graveyard and then state based actions would automatically exile all tokens that are in any zone that isn’t the battlefield. So the token would be exiled before their death triggers resolve, which means when you are given the option to exile them to their death triggers they are no longer in the graveyard for you to exile and their abilities check to make sure you exiled them to their trigger before giving you the effect.

I know but read the dwarf again token version gains “when this token leaves the battlefield return the exiled card to the graveyard”
I’m asking if the token leaves by death can I do the iname thing.

Stack your triggers, and resolve them one at a time.

I think the answer is no, you can’t use the token’s death trigger to exile the real card once it has returned to your graveyard.
201.4 Text that refers to the object it’s on by name means just that particular object and not any other objects with that name, regardless of any name changes caused by game effects.
So the death trigger should be read as “When this card dies, you may exile it. If you do, return...”
Lorehold flavor being expressed in the mechanics is delightful. Excavation, history, lore. I never would have thought graveyard interaction, but it makes so much sense

OK, Iname, Life Aspect and As one have an "exile it, If you do" clause as part of their death triggers so they don't work as tokens. Tokens stop existing when off the battlefield so you can't exile them from your graveyard.
If you meant can you get both Iname's trigger and Hofri's token then again no for the same reason. Both say "exile it, if you do" In such abilities exile is a cost of the ability. So when a real Iname dies it goes to the graveyard you get Iname's trigger and Hofri's trigger. The first to resolve will exile it and do its effect, then the second one will try to exile it but as its already in exile you won't get the effect.

I was also wondering if he was confusing the objects, but the question being asked wasn't expressly clear.
you need the real one to work its cost for the ability is exiling it token cease's before you get a chance so I'm still stuck with pull from eternity for that who well.

Yeah... I’m even more confused than I was before. Can you edit your posts for clarity, please?
I believe the gist is:
Exiling the card is a condition for the returning spirits to the battlefield. The token ceases to exist before you get the chance to exile it, so nothing gets returned.
The one thing I always hated about the "creature dies, exile it, make a token of it" cards was if you ever wanted that card back it was lost near forever, but this legendary fixes that little annoyance and you can recur them later, if possible.

I'm not clear on what good Pull from Eternity does.
Anyway, my first thought was using the dwarf to double Kroxa, which is not that good, but would be fun!
My second was that that's not just 2 life stuck on Cathartic Reunion, it's also way less punished by Negate effects.
