It also perfectly curves into Lotus Field to ramp you to 6 mana on turn 4. It might also be the best white hate card against modern dredge decks since Rest in Peace was printed. There's just really no realistic way for dredge to win when they have to pay 2 mana every time they want to get a single Bloodghast or Prized Amalgam from the graveyard onto the battlefield.
It's Hushbringer, except all permanents and it isn't Stomped. But that is really bad for White in Standard since itsbest removal ispermanent based.
On the other hand, it's better in formats where White actually has spell-based removal, even though that third point of Toughness is mostly irrelevant in Lightning Bolt formats. Also, it's a Spirit, which is relevant in Modern. Overall, it's neat.
First card for us cEDH players. Not amazing but taxes iso,mox diamond and chrome mox. Worth testing.
Note that Mox Diamond is not a triggered ability but instead a replacement ability. Same I think for Lotus Vale and Scorched Ruins; these three things will not work in any beneficial way with this card.
It does manage to do battle against Thassa's Oracle though...!
Strict Proctor is really strong because it is another [card]Torpor Orb[card] for redundancy.
This is 100% Modern and Legacy material due to the easy CC. Cavern of Souls is getting better and better.

uh-oh Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger is gonna spike since cancels the non-escape clause thank lord Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath is banned from nearly everything now
