If only someday we could get Atog Ninjas that would be amazing.
Just imagine if you could ninjitsu in a body with a sac outlet built in!
Does anyone even know why (most) atogs have been mysteriously omitted from Modern?
With all the recent power-creep, I can't imagine they'd warp or even have much impact on the format now.
Realistically though, I don't anticipate enemy fetches will be included.
Why would they be when they were just printed in secret lairs and as expeditions?
I do however expect MH2 will complete the allied pairing "horizon" (sac to draw) lands, and possibly offer the whole cycle of ten with old borders in collector packs.

"May" (this is hardly a confirmation of anything, speculation at best)
Reprints: TBA (presumably there are reprints, but beyond that this tells us nothing)
Honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes up prematurely.
Y'know that old expression... "Don't put the cart before the horse"?
Hopeful as it is that fetches are included, Why set yourselves up for disappointment?
If they are included I'm somewhat indifferent. I have enough, but more to go around are always welcome. I just wasn't expecting them (again), especially with two recent prints of fabled passage as well. I'm just confused. Didn't Wizards (or was it Maro) say at one point that they didn't like printing fetches often because it causes too much shuffling and delays gameplay? Recent activity would contradict that, but I suppose they always need to throw consumers an extra bone here and there to sell more packs. Truthfully, prismatic vista is the only one which "needs" another reprint at this point in my opinion, and if it's included with an old border, foils will undoubtedly be worth a fortune.

That sounds like a bad excuse to me if it's the case.
But either way, I'm excited for this set. I liked the first one even with all mayhem that followed. A set made for modern is supposed to be strong. I'm just worried about the prices like others in this thread hehe.

The issue with the Onslaught-Zendikar fetches was in Standard. The last time we had fetches, people would go to time in Standard almost all the time because of shuffling. This was due to both the sheer power of the fetches making them 3-ofs or 4-ofs everywhere, but also because Standard in general is a slower format. Fabled Passage is restrictive enough by virtue of finding less and also not being a 5-card cycle so decks can only run 4 of time (as compared to the usual 8 that monocolor decks would sometimes go with). This was all in Theros-Khans Standard alone, which made the 4-color soup of Khans-BFZ Standard so much worse.
Since they're not sticking to the original's strict "no reprints of modern cards" policy, I wonder if we could also see the other 4 allied Horizon Canopy lands.
actually it wouldn't shock me if the enemy fetch-lands were the only exception and all the other cards are 100% new to modern
Nor would it shock me, but it does seem like the allied Canopy lands would be a good complement to enemy fetches and round out something they started with the first.
The time has come for a new race to emerge as green's shrimps. Every other color has seen more diversity there, but Kavu and other shrimps have fissled. We have too many goblins, so we get dwarves. We have too many elves, so the time has come for the dramatic reemergence of the Ouphe as a creature type.

I agree on elves but feel the tribe should be something else, like insects
We also have had a fair number of worlds with no elves and had few one-off green characteristic tribes to fill that spot.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
More dryads! Especially the Ravnica ones with the leaf hair.
I wouldn't mind more nagas either, though they need to do more to make them look like nagas (humanoid top half, snake bottom half) instead of just snakes with arms.
I'd also like to see more aracnir, which were introduced as a spider-person race in Theros Beyond Death.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
So when do we think they start talking about it? THe full set will be spoiled less than a month from now, I would hope we get SOMETHING next week.
Also it looks like they ramped up prices to full Masters set levels, instead of the in between price of last time, that really sucks, although it doesn't surprise me, they are really trying quite hard to push everyone but the speculators out of this game

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.

in May spi heard about the 17th
it may be at master prices of pre-order but I’m telling people it’s only based on what was in the first one and less supply due to COVID if it gets a print run similar to the first it will tank hard.
Huh... wonder what they'll be doing for The List (TM) with the set boosters for this thing. I'd guess that this might be a place to put in a bunch of high-price modern singles that can't be reprinted in the set proper but every single high-cost cost would need to rotate right back out of The List with the next set if they do that so... should be interesting.
I'm really excited to see what's in the set, but man... they're just pushing so much product out, there's barely a week without some sort of spoilers and new release.
And sad to hear about the potential price increase again, but I guess we'll find out soon.
I'm the odd one of the bunch but I'd like to see more spellshapers. People shat all over Masques but personally I like the concept.

I agree. Especially given the spells that have been printed over the years that have become staples and should get the spellshaper treatment. Multicolored spellshapers, too.

The other unfortunate thing is that there seems to be a lower print run of draft boosters, Strixhaven levels of draft boosters, but plenty of collectors.

Yeah, that's not going to help prices at all
Either way I'm excited to see the set, but I'd be more than happy if the whole set is bad but the Counterspell rumours are true hehe.

I hope silver knight makes it to modern this time
can one dream of getting the final Omnath (5-color Omnath)

i will literally have to choose if i go deep in the standard set or the complementary product (modern eternal product)
