I am all for getting physical copies of tokens that didn't exist prior, but wow that Llanowar Elves is really bad. Like the elf in the background is going "Why was he chosen when I look like the actual Llanowar Elf?"
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I don't understand why they up-and-decided to make tokens full art 100% of the time. They are ugly to look at and visually incongruent sitting on the table next to regular cards. It also leads to really strange things like black bat tokens that a lot of new players would probably assume is a red token.
Wish they would change them back; it adds nothing and creates new problems.
It still annoys me to this day they thought it was a terrific idea to change the iconic Sliver look to that of Predator.
BUT, oddly, I could use a Sliver Hive depicting Predator Slivers as my thankful farewell to that stupid experiment they forced on us. I do have a M14/M15 Sliver deck. That final wish is probably not going to go well around here. I remember reading that +20 page thread of people arguing over it.
