I'm not wondering about the dismember, I'm wondering where's the Damnation?
Damnation and Thoughtseize have been spoiled. And here I was bashing the set for lack of decent reprints.
did you see the rarity of one?
Yeah and I don’t see any point in getting so salty about it, of course they’re going to put Damnation at mythic in the remaster of its premiere set, even though it doesn’t really need to be at that rarity. It was a chase money card for such a long time, and it was one of THE face cards of Planar Chaos and the entire Time Spiral block. I honestly would have been more surprised if they HADN’T made it a mythic.
Again, I’m not saying that Damnation should be mythic, because it doesn’t really need to be. I’m just saying that it’s not a surprising slap in the face to see it at mythic, and it just seems like a really insignificant thing to get butthurt about to the point where you’re posting about it multiple times in multiple threads.
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I literally only care about getting foils of certain old border reprints. Anything else is gravy.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
