More cards coming the 9th and the 16th. I'm guessing there will be a reprint that's also in Time Spiral Remastered, and a card with Koth in it. We're definitely getting a Kaya card.
Tragic the pandering. More woke dollar milking for people to virtue signal with.
Really bruh? All of the proceeds are going to charity and the art so far is pretty damn slick. This is what the last charity box should've been, why you hating?
Well without guessing Kaya walker card is gonna be one of them based on the title box
but Which one is the question there’s 4 to choose from
She appears to be on Ravnica, but that might not mean anything since I doubt they'd do the uncommon one and she's wearing her jacket instead of Orzhov armor.
Not showing all cards is always suspicious, chances are the product will not carry its value.
But Secret Lair really just need 1 big card that carries the value, the rest is then just added in.
----
Not a fan of the racially charged charity, but at the very least they learned their lesson to not cash in on charity (if thats actually true is to be seen, its still a tax write off in the end, that the company gets instead of the people "donating").
Looking forward to a Magic world in which race and gender is not going to be a sales argument (as thats what actual equality should be about).

I'm looking forward to a world in which charitable work aimed at repairing centuries of systemic oppression and violence can simply be virtuous, in an uncomplicated way, and without people feeling the need to find reasons to criticize it.
It's hard to comment on the product itself so far. I think Shalai looks awesome but that's not a card I run much. I'm not really into the Ponder. I'll have to wait for the rest of the cards to see if I'll buy it, but I think products like this are great for the game, and I hope we see more.

It's not really hating to point out where companies just shill out a product because 'special group x' has an event, event with a double standard. I've bought a bunch of the secret lairs so far and for most of it have enjoyed the products, but tokenism is still sickening.

The rest of the cards are going to be revealed more than a week before the set goes on sale. Do you get mad when a movie trailer doesn't spoil the whole plot too?

If the trailer is hiding information about a movie that is actually important then absolutely yes.
They dont have to show the art and details, but the critical information is WHAT cards are in the product, as that is the product itself.
If there is a single BIG money card in the product, that drastically changes the hype for it (so its in their best interest to show it right away).
As its right now, the cards are worth basically nothing and if there is no big card in the product at all, its losing money to buy it (and better to buy the singles you want later on) ...
We have a bunch of Secret Lairs so far and they are quite hit or miss depending on what cards they feature.
----
And most importantly, if they want to make this all about charity, slow rolling the spoiler of the content is hurting the cause more than showing the big cards that drive the sales (and intentionally choosing "bad" cards is even more questionable in such a case).
Tragic the pandering. More woke dollar milking for people to virtue signal with.

You need to educate yourself on what "tokenism" is. This is not that. Right now, what you are doing is broadcasting that you despise the thought of money being raised for a specific charity, or that charity itself. Either way, you are a racist who has no place here.

Flaming. Please simply report problematic behavior in the future, rather than attacking users.
As usual people have to act foolish and reveal their prejudices and racial hate whenever a member of a minority group is featured on a Magic card. Remember when Kaya got a Magic card in Kaldheim and that was somehow taken as an invitation to say bigoted things? Just keep it to yourself, guys

To believe not embracing a charity is outright "racial hate and prejudice" is extremely wild.
At this point every critique is outright shifted into a super extreme thats completely unhealthy.
----
People have any right to point out the problem of promoting one-dimensional charity.
Doing so is valid and to acknowledge people think different should be embraced, as in the end, this is about a Fantasy Game, and dragging any political dirt into it is not making it a better game, it just festers the division even more.
Nobody has to defend this charity, as nobody is actually attacking the charity itself.
People can donate money to whatever they wish to, and should be able to support whatever they wish.
And at the same time, people can critique that a fantasy game would be better off not having politics involved.
----
This product is supposed to frame the political stand of WotC , no doubt about it , and people dont have to like that direction, if they prefer a more neutral stance (and you have a hard time finding the political extreme of the either direction in this forum, if at all, a neutral approach is prefered and advocated, theres literally no reason to have this product at all if you dont have a biased already, which goes either side).
So much woke in Magic: the Gathering where escapism should be at it's peak. Glad to see so many woke people on this forum too. Glad y'all have a place to remind everyone how with it you are. Product is 100% pandering. Could've released this at any time - but it wasn't, it was done now. And that's why it's off. It has nothing to do with the product itself and some of you can't see that. That being said, this is nothing to be surprised about from WOTC.

There were no bigoted comments then, only ignorant people bending over backwards to find a way to interpret legitimate criticism as bigotry, which is a weak method of dismissing people some are incapable of debating.
This specifically doesn't bother me since it's Black History month, although it's becoming painfully obvious lately that MTG wants to be political, and decidedly liberal. Which is ironically making it feel unwelcome, because if most people are like me, people want media and products independent of something inherently conflicting like politics.

... it's Black History Month, isn't that the exact right time to do this product? Why is it off to do a product that acknowledges that and raises money for a charity relating to Black girls during Black History Month?
MOD EDIT: This post goes against MTGS's Inclusion policy
Has WOTC ever done anything for men? Young men? Men of color, even? Just curious. There's all this criticism of "toxic masculinity" but no attempts to cultivate healthy male development. More men are in prisons, dying in wars, expected to pay the bill on dates, have their abuse and emotional turmoils dismissed and told to "man up" and here we are.
That said, I like the art for Ponder, especially featuring known legends, and I'm not going to knock something for charity during an appropriate month. I can understand some frustration with how one-sided WOTC has been, but look no further than White in EDH to understand why. They get wrapped up sometimes in linear thinking. Basri is our only Arabic character so... there's more on the racial spectrum guys. But again, it's Black History Month.
I would have loved a Teferi with cartoonish art. Hope we get 3 mana Kaya or maybe kaldheim kaya. Ponder art is really good. Shalai art is ok, kinda of a showcase art but i think most ppl would have liked Lyra as the dominaria angel way way more (soo lets hope it is the good kaya)

WotC wants to be "liberal" because if they were "conservative" there wouldn't be gay/lesbian/trans characters because those are "sins against Jesus Christ our savior". There wouldn't be black characters because blacks are only poor thugs who glorify drugs and hookers.

7 cards, first two are Ponder and Shalai, Voice of Plenty and rest will be revealed over 2/9-2/14
but Which one is the question there’s 4 to choose from
Shalai, Voice of Plenty Is a nice card for players
ponder that art is incredible so Rielle, the Everwise has a daughter

Here's the product designer talking about why Shalai is in this set, along with a short story on Rielle and that child on Ponder.
EDIT: Unlike the last charity SL, this says ALL PROCEEDS go to Black Girls Code
