*Sees story spotlight* drat ragnarok confirmed (kind of shocked it’s not vorinclex causing it.)
But foretelling makes it a 3 cmc Day of Judgment that's pretty now look what you have done people your begging for better white cards caused this to exist in standard
A wrath you can play on Turn 3 is pretty spicy. Especially since a deck going shields down in the early game looks enticing for an aggro deck to play cards into.
And hey, if it gets to 5 land before it gets used, you have enough to cast it and Foretell something else.

well, it's playable on turn 3 if you waste your turn 2 foretelling it.
still, 5 mana boardwipes are oftentimes playable even if I don't think anyone will be swapping their Shatter the Sky for this anytime soon.
Along with maybe Skull Raid, this finally looks like a card worth Foretelling! UWx decks actually might be able to bust their Turn 2 against aggro saving their butts on Turn 3.

Exiling a card to foretell is not "wasting your turn 2"; instead, you are setting up your play for a subsequent turn. Don't let me dissude you from your opinion, though.
If this is the representation of Ragnarok, then it's pretty subpar. But then again if it did anything else on a superior level (I.e. exiling everything rather than destroy) it would cost a lot more to pull off.
Still, a nice sneaky board wipe on its own. Board wipe, then foretell any other creatures you have waiting in the mists. Board position guaranteed

So uh the story of the plane is just the story of Shards of Alara block again huh
I was kind of looking forward to nine possible areas that could be invaded incrementally by Vorinclex in return sets but now it's just one regular plane by the end

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)

Nothing about this implies that? Doomskar's regularly happen as the planes cross and separate again. This, obviously, is a rather large one, but there's no indication it's going to end with all the planes merged.

Oh I see. If that's the case then I'm happy to hear it. I think the thing that makes the plane unique shouldn't be undone immediately.

Is a control deck doing much else turn 2? You could hold up a single counterspell, I suppose? Or you could set this and let an opponent overextend, perhaps thinking it's Ravenform. If they don't overextended, it just leaves you more time to set up new answers. Don't need to wrath on turn 3? Congrats, when you finally do need to wrath, you're left with more mana and your opponent doesn't draw a card from it.
So was Bontu's Last Reckoning but no one wanted to pay the "don't untap your lands on your next turn" cost.
Bontu's Last Reckoning scales up badly the more mana you have. It gets worse the later you draw it. Doomskar gets better the later it shows up, because it has flexibility, and won't interfere with your instants.

Not really. Doomskars are brief and supposedly happen all the time. Incremental is probably the way it's going to go, because Kaya didn't see any sign of Mycosynth on Gnottvold, but it was there on Bretagne.
EDIT: All the time on, like, a planar scale. Obviously not all the time on a human scale or else they wouldn't be seen as akin to big natural disasters.

BLR works best only in decks also able to use Wilderness Reclamation or Bear Umbra; however, those decks probably aren't running the 3-mana wrath.
Mark continues his story of how the elements of Kaldheim got in place. I'm pretty sure no one's reading this because of that 3-mana boardwipe up there.

Rookie you forgot Ranar and you can’t cast it till your next turn (unless you have flash) to do it then it’s 3
And hey, if it gets to 5 land before it gets used, you have enough to cast it and Foretell something else.
This wrath is very good, especially in your opening hand. Any time you want to stabilize VS an opponent's blitz start, this saves you the game.

It's the azorius commander deck legend from kaldheim

But this isn't really an "over two turns" spell. This is a "set it and forget it" spell that you cast turns later for 3, when it's necessary.

I'd say this setup cost makes it a lot more playable than limiting your options to react to whatever your oponent rebuilds on their turn.

It's not perfect, but no answer is.

That's not even correct, a cursory look on MTGTop8 shows tournament results in Modern, Pioneer, and Standard using Bontu's Last Reckoning.
I take your word for it. I never saw anyone using it and I don't keep track of tournament results.
what 2 realms do you think these are gonna be in the story?
