i kind of like this cards design... the 2nd ability is super meaningless, but ok. but the 1st one makes him at least interesting enough to test play with him
Looks like dimir foretell is wau better than azorius foretell

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Can i still cast the foretold cards for 2 mana cheaper after the Demon is gone ?
I wondered this as well. The video probably explains it, but I don't speak JP. My guess is it DOES still work after the demon is gone, since it doesn't say "while ~ is in play", and the cards remember they have foretell in exile independent of the demon's presence.
It's too bad it doesn't gain a +1/+1 counter or something. Ah well, I like the design quite a lot and will probably play with it.
It's very powerful. It turns normal spells into more impressive spells than the natural foretell spells we have in the set.
For example, Battle Mammoth costs 2 to foretell then 2GG to cast, so 6 mana total, while its normal cost is 3GG. A Doom Whisperer will cost 2 then 1BB, which is the same amount of mana you would spend normally : 3BB. You litterally have no downside using foretell anymore with this little demon on the board.

Pioneer - A bunch of stuff Modern - Humans Legacy - Grixis Phoenix / Death & Taxes
Although it makes you a little slower, foretelling every card is essentially "spells you cast cost 2 less to cast". Could be abusable...but possibly too slow. Not sure yet.
You cannot cast Ancestral Vision if you foretell it as it as no mana cost.
If you foretell Walking Ballista, XX can be as though you paid (+)1(+)1 (if you pay 0 mana, it will enter as a 1/1, pay 2 mana it will enter as a 2/2, etc.)
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
It's not a static ability. It's the foretell cost. It's all one ability. It's the same as Gonti, Lord of Luxury. You exile the card and even if Gonti dies you can still pay mana of any color. If it were a static ability it would have its own line of text.

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
^Agreed. It should work as all cards you Foretell while this guy is in play get a kind of "tag" (I'm sure there's a precise rules term) that is linked to the foretold card itself, fixing the casting cost from exile as long as it remains exiled facedown.
Probably one of those clerics that sold his soul for unlimited power and became a demon, but didn't want to lose his cleric union benefits.
"unlimited power"
Power = 0
Anyway, I actually hope this becomes a thing, and a reasonably expensive card. then this puny little demon can go flip off Abyssal Persecutor and Lord of the Pit!
I can see Foretell used with cards that can produce mana on the spot. Dark Petition, Inner Fire and Gilded Lotus as examples. They become free once mana is paid back.
If only this Demon was Legendary to be a Commander for B decks.
The demon's real power is gonna be a way to act as a sort of banking system for your nonland cards.
Lets say you have some janky combo that takes 5 cards, you got 4 pieces in hand already and the demon in play, you pay 8 upfront that turn to safely store your pieces. When it comes time to withdraw your cards and cast your combo, each card you deposited costs 2 less to cast. I use a jankier example as I figured it would only be natural for people to stop and think about trying to pay less for deposit which means having a more efficient combo that takes less cards.
Alternatively you can also consider this card as a hellbent enabler for cards like Infernal Tutor or Anthem of Rakdos. And like before, foretell means if the tutor or anthem were deposited, it can result in them getting a discount in casting cost to be B or BRR respectively.
Similarly you can also consider this card a way to avoid symmetrical effects that affect your hand such as Delirium Skeins if you are playing a Tergrid, God of Fright deck. Also useful if you have something you want to hold onto but you also have that typical dilemma with a Wheel of Fortune or Reforge the Soul in hand.
We got some people here that are toooootally missing the most violent part about this demon: you can just pay 6 with half a hand, and this becomes a 6/3 and you can get em.
For cube, this could get there on the basis that “Spells you cast cost 2 less to cast and have Suspend 1 but ya kinda just don’t cast it.”
(sad Ranar noises)
Wonder if Esper Foretell will be a deck in Standard.
If you can understand Japanese, watch Hamakikaku sort out the rules intricacies here:

i mean after all it’s happened with quite a bit of other mechanics (granting this ability to cards that don't have it)
though at the same time they are stupid idiots because Ranar is azorius not esper now the foretell deck needs to be esper because of this one card

With the Cosmos Charger, yes.

This is still the best place for high-power-level cube chat & debate.
