Discard a card: Exile the top two cards of your library. You may play those cards this turn. Just like her stories, Birgi's horn is endless.
Either WotC screwed up big time, or Birgi is being slow-rolled. The front is both a boast lord AND a Storm enabler, so you got that going for you, but it is three mana, so it's mostly the former and almost never the latter. That ability on the back allows for Red card draw, but doesn't actually fuel itself.
Five mana for plus one card advantage? No thanks. I'll just keep running the khans red enchantment and Vance's blasting.
i think you’re selling this short by a lot. This can be reused multiple times a turn not just a single upkeep trigger. Red has more synergy with artifacts than enchantments. Discarding can be a plus for delve, faithless looting, past in flames, madness etc. Not to mention theres a second side of this card, so it’s also a flexible card with options.
Birgi, God of Boasting. According to that linked tweet, they asked about the other side and Wizards said there wasn't one. Might have been more along the lines of "we have other plans for the god side".
I’m feeling the god side spoils something for the story is why the source didn't get the other half

anyway the card it’s self nice another outpost siege variant effect and this one can be done on command with a discard glad to see you can do lands with this
and To go instant win with this all you need is something that can draw a card easily then you can cast a Thassa's Oracle,Laboratory Maniac, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries with the horn so your ready to deck yourself out with the horn
That horn looks like a very powerful Yawgmoth's Bargain-like draw engine if you can abuse it. Storm decks seem particularly prone to dumping all their spare lands in hand to this. I suppose its not actually drawing cards helps balance it out.
"Birgi, God of Stories" behaves like a semi-jacked-up version of Runaway Steam-Kin and I'm sure that ritual ability of hers can be abused Goblin Electromancer-style...if she'd only survive the instant-speed removal no doubt flung her way.
It's interesting that Birgi and her horn are both the ritual and the CA engine in one card.
Argh, there it is again, on the showcase art! The "one side of the head shaved" haircut! When will they reveal the barber planeswalker?
Mechanics-wise, both sides are pretty cool. I like the horn for commander.
Isn't that the same haircut they have in the Vikings show? I', not suggesting it's historically accurate, but I don't think it's a thing WotC invented for vikings.
So the god side after spell number one everything is one less mana that’s nuts not to mention if mana reflection or/and nyxbloom ancient are in play this might be storm playable
that second ability is irrelevant easily more people are focusing on that first one

and since it’s instant speed activation a classic trick I do is if someone tries to Bojuka Bog effect your yard and you have either Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in hand activate the horn and you save your graveyard (just have a leyline of anticipation effect in play so you don’t lose the exile cards)
