How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
"Mystical Reflection" seems like a hilarious way to "counter" a planeswalker spell or a strong enough creature spell. Just target a weak creature with it!
And is a pretty evil thing to do to opposing planeswalkers. My your jace looks very good in that 1/1 elf token body we popped it into. Oh that Garruk is now a 2/1 knight. THIS is hugely powerful as planeswalker removal. Oh and poor poor Gideon has no more indestructible

I love the card, but I just don't see where this card beats essence scatter/negate in any of my decks. The utility of making my critters better, making theirs worse just doesn't beat just getting rid of the threat altogether.
Your quite right that it wont deal directly with the problem, but it does help manage certain problematic cards that until now are counter or kill only if you can hopefully touch them quickly enough. But ponder this, now you can wrath without having a planeswalker clause attached to the text or just pinpoint remove without having to get specialized removal.

Yeah, this is pretty cool. A straight-up counter is overall stronger, but this has lots of other potential uses too, like buffing one of your own incoming things. Definitely want to try it out.

At least in this case Essence Scatter doesn't stop planeswalkers, and Negate doesn't stop creatures. So this is more flexible? Close to a hard counter. Doesn't stop them from getting a body, but think of it as a malleable Swan Song for creatures and planeswalkers. Power of more coverage for less mana (in terms of Standard counterspells these days) in exchange for a body. Recent comparisons are Anticognition and No Escape.
Also, since the creature being chosen doesn't say target, I think you don't have to choose a creature until the spell resolves. Doesn't that mean I could use a bird token created by Murmuring Mystic, for instance, created when I cast this spell?

Unless I'm reading the card incorrectly, it would also allow you to sort of "counter" something like a Carnage Tyrant since you never actually target or counter the card being played. Which is the big appeal of this card to me. Someone plays a bomb that can't be countered or has hexproof you can just turn it into a 1/1 soldier instead.
What would happen with Mystical Reflection if you cast, say, Raise the Alarm? Would all tokens be transformed, or only one?
Hmm that's interesting, since with raise the alarm the tokens enter at the same time. I would still assume the "next" creature means just one of the next creatures, so only one, but may need to see translation or a rules explanation.
Everyone talking about it as a one time removal or one time copy for your own stuff. They miss out on the big factors. Its instant, and its 2 mana. Which means it can be socketed into a Isochron Scepter. If you want to have a creature enter the battlefield as a legendary that isn't itself legendary, use Spark Double. If you want a reliable way each turn to create a copy, use token generators like Awakening Zone.
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!
Doesn’t that saga make your creatures kill each other if no opponent has something with 4 power?
Potentially yes. It also makes your opponents creatures do the same thing. As it doesn't state your creatures do this, just that each creature does it if has 4 or more power.

Scepter is a great idea! I assume you play primarily EDH if you consider isochron scepter compatibility a "big factor."
You know I’m wondering if targeting a avenger of zendikar just cause a stalemate if even one creature ETB'd
EDIT: NVM the blue card has “the next time” so once not all other ETB's for the rest of the turn
Guys, I'm pretty sure it says "one or more creatures ... they enter ... as copies". Thus making this card about as cool as it can be.
Oh wow. So yeah, would be pretty wild with avenger. You cast this with the avenger ETB trigger on the stack, choose the avenger, so each plant token comes in as another 5/5 avenger that makes a plant for each land you have. That's a lot of 5/5s and A LOT of plants.
My French is not the best, but I think the final chapter of the saga says "choose a creature or planeswalker. Each creature with power 4 or more you control deals damage equal to its power to that permanent."
Also, is the transformation to a 4/4 permanent? Can't tell.

“I cast my Jace, the... sad robot?”
what a crazy original, powerful design!
I love this card it's spectalularly cool.
I'm absolutely making something Janky with it and Yorion, Sky Nomad

you win either way with it (here’s just examples)
“good for you”
Nice Gray Merchant of Asphodel let’s have all my creatures/token creature's enter as Gary
“bad for them”
oh no here comes a craterhoof behemoth .... *cast this* nope it’s a 0/1 goat
