Lots of Blue cards today. Tornado Summoner is being discussed on this other thread. Can anyone decipher the flavor text of the Forerunner?
So... Avalanche Caller seems fairly strong. Not too many non-targeted instant-speed kill spells other than that instant speed barter in blood with foretell, I guess (soul shatter wouldn't work as it would just hit the caller).
So tornado summoner is basically cyclonic rift but fair?

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

this thing is vastly different.
its not an instant. it doesn't have flash, and its a cast trigger not an etb trigger. no surprise bounces.
its always 7 mana. rift is sometimes single target. it does happen.
it doesn't hit everything. that's beneficial to wizard and giant tribal, but puts it closer in line with something like whelming wave.
its an okay card. its kind of filler junk. its not particularly bad, its not particularly good, its the kind of mediocre crap they use to fill out a set. there's worse things it could've been, but it also could've been better by a considerable margin.
Don't be obtuse. I clearly meant reprint him at mythic instead of this garbage knock off. I mean, if you can't reprint frost and inferno titans in this set, then where can you?

Its more a quite worse Kederekt Leviathan, as they added the "cast from your hand" it cannot combo with Animate Dead , Dance of the Dead , and especially the instant speed Necromancy.
Its basically just bad ... (unless you want a super casual "giant" themed bounce spell, but in all competitive realms, this is just not a good card).
