It's not the best Manalith ever, but it's mechanically perfect for the reference to Draupnir. Every ninth night, it drops eight gold rings of equal weight to the original. Pretty cute.

Reminds me of Spinning Wheel from Eldraine. A nice flavorful mana rock that has some uses if your running the right deck.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
This plus Mechanized Production and some way to bump its counters to 8 and you have a nice janky win on your next upkeep. Good luck with that.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Based on all the snow instants and sorceries so far, this thing's biggest selling point won't be the eight extra mana, but the eight extra snow permanents it drops.

Hold on it has to pop before you do mechanized production first because if you do the real one it will pop and the enchantment goes to the graveyard before the win trigger
but on the other hand you can get another 8 per clone since the ability is there

Nothing about Replicating Ring's ability would make Mechanized Production go to the graveyard? Replicating Ring stays on the battlefield when the ability "goes off", it just makes 8 Replicated Rings and removes the counters.

Nowhere on the spoiled card does it say sac or remove itself from play. The original stays in play with the enchantment, but the counters denoting the night leave the artifact and then you create the 8 differently named copies of the ring as tokens. So yes it does work.
There is the thing that the tokens and the actual artifact do NOT have the same name though so any destruction of the copies can set you back fairly badly unless you can copy the tokens somehow if said disruption happens.

was it so popular or so awesome as to warrant an immediate sequel?
edit: oh duh, it’s a specific reference.
