Anyone here play God tribal, either in 60 or 100 cards? Well, I have the card for you. (Weird cropping care of Instagram) Cash posted this non-cropped version, problem solved.
you don’t even need it for god tribal because that second ability is pretty much chromatic lantern with 6 lands
oh and that sac ability let me put this into mind Arcane Adaptation or Conspiracy put it together of what happens when you do the ability and choosen god
That was the first thing I noticed too. I thought the same about the mythic MDFC lands in Zendikar. Shatterskull, the Hammer Pass is a named location, it should be legendary. I understand that they don't want "feel bad" moments where someone can't play their lands, but if this isn't legendary, no land is. There's only one, it even has "the" in the name!
Edit: I went back and checked the last time we got a new legendary land in a standard set. It was Inventors' Fair. There is one Fair in the multiverse but multiple World Trees.
they spam legendary cards like there is no tomorrow cause of commander and the card that is basically the center of a set is not... how can wizards manage to still fail this hard... i can absolutly not understand that.
and i also dont get, why it has to enter the battlefield tapped... it is not like this card needed to be balanced and therefore had to enter tapped
what a design waste. wizards has a hand in disappointing people

valakut, the molten pinnacle and all the cycle... Some times they do non legendary lands if the efect needs lots of setup or if the land has no relevant ability.
Obligatory "not legendary?" comment--doesn't make sense to me, either. Ramp to 10 lands without dying first then spit out all the gods? *shrug* It could work.
They talked about this in the past. The reasoning is that a land card represents a connection you make with the land, it's not literally the land itself. Even unique locations can therefore support multiple connections.
In practice, lands have much higher bar to pass to be considered legendary. And this is completely OK in multiple copies -- second ability is not cumulative and the last ability would bring out all the Gods at once anyway, so multiple copies don't break anything.

I've heard that argument before, that just means no land should ever be legendary.
Similarly to how the retconned the way summoning creatures works in the lore. Originally, you ripped the creature from its home plane and called it to wherever you are. That's how Dominarian creatures ended up in Homelands, which is set on a different plane. But that method seemed like you were enslaving and abusing your creatures, so they changed it. Now, you can't summon creatures between planes, it's impossible. You just summon a magical copy. So no creatures should be legendary either...
For this one I get it not being legendary. The world tree's roots and branches are all throughout the local cosmos, so it makes lots of flavor sense to have more than one. For Magosi, the Waterveil and company, I do feel those should be legendary.

They swurbeled up some explanation.
The reality is, they just didnt like how legendary lands play out if the people want to include 4 in there decks and cant play their own lands due to legend rule.
So they simply dont want legendary lands anymore, as its actively bad on lands (gameplay wise its basically flat negative for a land to be legendary, corner-cases aside).

BOOOOO!!!!
Legendary is supposed to be a downside. If legendary lands are only good if you play one copy, only play one copy.
Don't molly-coddle us. If we make mistakes in our mana base, it's our own fault.
This card gives serious conflict over who the commander of god tribal should be. Golos so you can always find this or Ramos so you can readily and easily activate it out of seemingly nowhere. Honorable mention to Morophon for actually being a god I guess. 🤷♂️

I feel like just for the Chromatic Lantrn ability, this is an auto-include in every 5 color deck forever. Once you hit 6 lands, it's effectively Lantern for 1 that can't be hit by as much stuff. Damn I want to make a God deck now

Slam a bunch of playable gods in and you are good to go (the fixing is also nice to make Golos activations ready).

Anyways God tribal is neat. We need a proper five color God... and then I recalled the new one today due to the other side she has.

It’s a god that's a 5-color legend and the 5-color side cheats out the gods and the creature side makes all the gods mana dorks
I mean sure if you’re looking for the slow fair way to activate the tree.
