I've changed my mind. I believe these are the real deal. This almost seems like a "planned" leak.
I'm also hoping Boast shows up in either white, blue or green as well.
Possibly planned or just lucky, hard to say. As it was posted on the facebook group for misprints and this was pulled from a Commander pack.
I don't doubt that it could happen that way but some rando claiming they pulled it from a Commander pack with zero evidence to prove it (video) keeps my theory valid.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Throwing phyrexians in seems...unlikely. We haven't been back to Mirrodin New Phyrexia yet or had much hints at them beginning a plane crossing invasion yet. And this set already has some clear story conflicts and themes, the phyrexians are just going to overshadow all of that.
Compared to Eldritch Moon, there we had the advantage of a whole previous block and the Shadows over Innistrad set being essentially just Innistrad based. And with Amonkhet we had the first set before the Bolas stuff went off the wall. This is our very first introduction to Kaldheim and there's Phyrexians already? That seems like a mistake, and one WotC would not likely make.
I can see this being deliberate. Make the phyrexians return, but instead of a fullblown invasion, make them appear in small numbers as they are slowly leaking into other planes. The thing is that for the natives the threat is not yet apparent while we, the audience, watch with horror as we know the phyrexians are a major threat to any plane.
It actually fits the style of the phyrexians and what type of horror they represent. It's like how in a horror movie we see the clueless protagonist in the foreground while the killer is stalking him in the background, visible for us but not his victim. This is giving me the same vibes.
At any rate, this is definitely a very, very big curveball, if true. Kaldheim already seems pretty loaded for a single set. And now they're adding phyrexians. Boy, I hope wizards knows what they're doing.
Even if its fake, I like that art though. Wonder where that came from.
Sure but Maro hinted
• the introduction of a creature type that players have been wanting for years
• a card that allows you to kill someone with poison
True, but this card could have been made knowing those hints and thus making it seem more real. If it is fake, they did a good job on faking it. But now the plot thickens... phyrexians? Here? Wow
And look at the new cards added to the List for Kaldheim, OG Vorinclex is one of them
Damn, i soo want them to be real lol
If they are then Kaldheim has 2 things i want:
-Tybalt being a minor villain that will have a real arc as a antagonist
-Phyrexian Invasion on other planes (maybe Tybalt stealing the sword of the realms has something to do with this(?))

That is exactly what I wanted them to do. Albeit more slow. Like a gruesome scene on Eldraine with black oil on a nearby tree and red on another, yet the victor is not present. Or in the background of the art, a Phyrexian slipping past in the foliage while a hunter battles one of the nightmare beasties.
I will happily take this even if its more forward than I would have wanted.
There are many reasons to call fake, but the biggest one is that Vorinclex instantly allows planeswalkers to ult the moment they drop, in particular, the newly revealed Kaya. Maro said that was the biggest reason Doubling Season isn't getting reprinted in a standard set. I'm probably wrong though, considering all the over powered garbage they've been printing into standard this past year.

That's not fair to underworld breach, which lets you replay the same card over and over in a single turn, doing what Yawg's Will could never do.
If new Vorinclex is real - My guess with the comparison to doubling season is that (1) MaRo will say that what he said about doubling season was outdated, and (2) being a creature means there are more answers to it than doubling season. Not that I agree with this.
It definitely feels like they are really undercutting a brand new plane by dropping phyrexians into it - I could see maybe a hint here and there, but this is (at least one) full-fledged card, and a major one at that. But perhaps the roll-out strategy is to have them appear in or build up in each new plane wizards takes us to over the next year or so? I don't know.
"Monstrous Raider" just sounds like sort of a dumb title for Vorinclex, to be honest.
Besides isn't the claim how these were found the exact same way the amonkhet card got leaked also nearly everybody thought the Godzilla cards were fake
It is possible, there are alread lots of chinese conterfeits with holo stamps (that if you scratch will fall off).

It can be undercutting a plane, but it can also be making it more memorable by dropping phyrexian in it. As its clear based on Phyrexians, Snow, Tribal, DFC Gods, and whatever else they want this set to be memorable. Its like if a Modern Horizons was given a setting and context for its set is how I think about it. Where even years after it your gonna remember it for years unlike say Ikoria which had the most notable thing about it being Godzilla.
Gah, something booted me and I lost all the stuff I typed out. Shorter version with less nuance.
The "Collecting Kaldheim" article basically lays out that there are definitely 17 mythics, of which 5 are presumably the god cycle, 4 are the Planeswalkers, and 5 are a cycle demonstrating an as of yet unseen mechanic. There may be more, but it seems unlikely, unless the mythic count for sets is just going to be permanently raised as of Zendikar Rising. The gods and 3 others (stated as "all legends") are getting the special "Viking" frame treatment.
We know of three legendary things that could potentially end up in a mythic slot: The Jörmungandr analogue, Tyvar Kells brother, and the World Tree analogue. They may not, as demonstrated by Sarulf, but we don't know either way.
The article also mentioned "...breathing life (or unlife) into the cards..." which could either be a cute reference to Draugr or to the card Phyrexian Unlife.
The current balance of mythic rares for Standard as of Kaldheim is starting imbalanced towards Green, even without getting into what Kaldheim itself would bring. Mythics don't have to be fully balanced, but they try to keep it relatively even, and Blue and Black are both behind Green by 4 cards, when you account for multicolored cards.
Finally, the cards listed here don't match any of the various pack associations. It's a mispackaging, but presumably it would be matching a package of some kind to be gathered together in the first place. There are 5 rares here, and none are foil, which means they don't line up with any potential pack layout.
Combined with the sheer number of speculated mechanics, this all strikes me as too convenient. I don't buy it. I could very easily be wrong, there's not really enough details either way, but it feels fishy enough to me that I'm not going to bite.
I like the Phyrexian plant here. Sure, takes away some attention a little bit but it is just 1 card. I'm sure there is enough space for Kaldheim to have a big identity. Yes, they could have made a more subtle reference but I guess they want it be be obvious. Personally I am excited about the return to New Phyrexia.
Boast seems to be "a one off ability that can be used after/during an attack. LIke a local Raid ability. The choice of word is weird and seems a disconnect with the ability.
Battle for Bretagaed seems weak specially that you can only copy unique tokens, meaning it does not stack with itself.
As for legitimacy, no telltale fake signs, so so far so good.

Introducing Phyrexian as a creature type, as well as the first time a non-permanent having the Snow supertype, sure raises at least some red flags, that can't be just me.
Maybe that artwork is just what a Baloth looks like on Kaldheim?
X D
And I'm still also suspicious regarding the non italic font for the mechanic name, which others already pointed out.
Things are really suspicious but they are too good to be fake
By the way it's only me who didn't want to see phyrexian as a creature type? After 25+ years and their prime passed, seems like the train is too late

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
We've got to wonder with the phyrexian type being introduced what are the odds of Modern Horizons 2 and Commander 2021 having a good amount of Phyrexians
And everyone was claiming there was no snow in the set! The video points out Snow cards seem to have a different border.
I also thought of this:

I'm definitely going "Snoooooow", but not until it's actually confirmed hehe. Phyrexians would just be a huge surprise.

But either way, I’m glad if this is true and back to Magic’s original antagonists rather than the lame-ass eldrazi.
Im laughing at how cards like Sentinel sort of inspired Boast if this is to be believed.
Please let it be real. Please please please please please.

Maybe. If they are following the Forecast template of an activated ability you can just use once you do something then it is correct.
and Old Threshold and "Gotcha "(un set)
It is possible, there are alread lots of chinese conterfeits with holo stamps (that if you scratch will fall off).
Also yea I get that as the reasoning as well if it ever comes up for Vorinclex's planeswalker/counter half. Some cards to consider for using planeswalkers with him are Garruk, Unleashed, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Nissa, Who Shakes the World for starters.
It can be undercutting a plane, but it can also be making it more memorable by dropping phyrexian in it. Vorinclex seems good i guess. Haste makes a ton of difference.
I once again would repeat that we could use ten gods in the set instead of filling the story with 2 different subplots and taking mythic spots.
