I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.
Trust me lads it is snow for sure there is plent of snow in the arts (yeah tarkir also had and have on core and commander legends)
Hope at least one color pair is focused in snow in the main set (and in booster we get snow lands or a chance for some). Looks like the color pairs are represented by creatures from the several miniplanes that are connected to Kaldheim soo lets hope at least one of those planes/planets is focused on snow.

I don't know why you guys set yourself up for disappointment like this. Do you want to be angry?
WotC never promised snow would be returning anytime soon. They never gave any actual hint it would in be Kaldheim.
The only real reason to suspect it was because it was a generally suitable world and because of modern horizons. But then, MH was a masters-style set, and those commonly feature mechanics WotC doesn't have much intention of ever returning to standard. So there was no guarantee.
Yeah, snow did seem like it had a good chance here, and yeah, that would have been interesting to see. But this frenzy for snow is not universal and is also relatively recent.
There are actual things to be angry about with WotC. Them not meeting every expectation you have just decided is mandatory is not one of them.
I always found snow as a mechanic to be overrated and really... parasitic? Dull? Uninteresting? I still dont understand the intense love for it. Its basically any number of existing mechanics, but you know, snow.
Mechanically, im glad they didnt both. Thematically, im all for it. Its kind of like the deserts of amhonkhet, they dont need to be a central theme all over everything to capture the essence of that environment. Id rather they did that than jam snow onto everything because reasons.
Not sure where it was said that snow is NOT in the set, just that it isn't on either of these two commanders...
Anyway onto the actual thread topic - even without knowing the foretell text I'm going to assume it involves exiling a card from your hand, thus synergizing with the commander's final ability. Based on the name and color pair, I'm getting Azorius forecast vibes. Maybe something like that but with the card exiling.
I'm actually kind of relieved I don't love the G/B elf. I was already thinking about turning my monogreen elves commander deck to G/B to use the new partners from commander legends, and I think I like them as a combo more than this one. If I have ten elves in play, I'd rather do stuff with them like use their abilities or attack with a craterhoof rather than just tap all for a 10-point drain.
Edit: Found the answer to my own question. Nope they are not.
Yeah sadly not. Really a miss by wotc but i guess they got scared with the brawl decks having one kinda of staple. (but lets be honest, none of the new commander cards from Ikoria and Zendikar would see much play. Maybe, just maybe AnowonEnigma Thief , Jirina Kudro, Kalamax, the Stormsire, Slippery Bogbonder (but to be fair no card would shift standard as badly as Oko or Omnath have...
(I would have loved for some of those commander cards that are released with standard sets to be playable in standard (as they come in collectors boosters of the set as well...))
Yeah, it's not "confirmed confirmed" but the chances are getting slim. For example, if there were snow cards, I think Maro would've teased at least one of them on his Tumblr.

Subversion or Perversion of Expectations?
Playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla yesterday and all of a sudden my settlement goes into Yuletide, SNOW everywhere and Yule side missions. A nice touch by Ubisoft. Even Yule coins. So yeah even they get it and WotC can't pull their head out of their arse.

Does snow have a mechanical meaning in AC: Valhalla, or is it just aesthetic? Because I think the MtG art shows plenty of snow aesthetically.

I think you may be misunderstanding. It is an aesthetic BUT with the addition of YULE coins there is an added component. Much like snow mana is an added component in MTG. The point is Ubisoft acknowledging that there can and should be a little extra something in the game that is on theme, on season and LISTENS to their market. A nice touch if you ask me. Maybe Snow mana is coming in Kaldheim still, I won't give up hope. But WotC's deaf and dismissive attitude towards long time fans and customers tells me expect the worst. Glad Ubisoft knows how it should be done.

Geez. Jump to conclusions a bit? There’s still a chance snow can be in the set.
