Today Gavin talks about how two tribes made it to Commander Legends: one old, and one new(-ish). He also previews another card that goes infinite with Kiki-Jiki.
Flavor-wise Coercive Recruiter could have been RB where you target a creature then the opponent has to choose either Act of Treason or Murder/Diabolic Edict.

That's actually a pretty cool card design, and would be neat in political games of commander.

This guy is a bit less interesting, but strong.
While a cute idea, I think this version of the card is actually both stronger and more interesting. While giving the choice to the opponent is flavorful, it isn't actually that interesting when there's a "right" choice 90% of the time. It basically becomes a "do I have a sac outlet" check. If you've got a sac outlet, it's always right to pick to destroy their creature. If you don't, then it's almost always right to let you steal it for a turn. So giving the option makes the card less powerful, since they'll always pick what's worst for you, and less interesting, because it ends up not comboing with sac outlets as positively as this version does.

He should have chosen the chicken.

Heh, just realized that lets you get a ton of additional triggers that you can use to enlist or untap other creatures.
