If you would lose unspent mana, that mana becomes colorless instead. One day, Kruphix dreamed that he was traveling to an unknown land on the edge of the world. Out of curiosity, he picked up a stone there, and discovered when he woke up that it had followed him in reality.
Mana burn is back, and so is Kruphix's mana transformation. Joining them are reprints of Valakut Invoker and Phyrexian Rager.
Between the donate imp + the black enchantment and now this viashino + the stone, they are really pushing hard some sinergies

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/statement-regarding-noah-bradley-2020-06-22 Wizards has cut ties with him over inappropriate sexual conduct. Horizon Stone is likely one of the cards they refer to in that article. So it's unlikely we'll ever get a reprint of this particular art of Horizon Stone, but if they do need to reprint it they'll most likely commission new art.
All the more reason to get this one, which has good art. I can't imagine the CGI garbage an alternative will have, which is where everything is headed.

So they cut ties with him. Whatever, I won't feel morally wrong to get cards featuring his work, he's already been paid for them anyway.

I don’t either. I love his work and I don’t care about politics in my MTG. If the art is good, it’s good.
Can someone please explain what the stone actually does?
It let's you charge up mana. For example, at the end of the turn before your own, you could tap all of your lands and such for all of the mana you could make, and instead of that mana just going away, it would become colorless, but still available to spend. If you didn't spend it as phases ended, it would stay around to be spent later.

maybe one day?
If it can be called "Mana Burn", I am all aboard with this plan.
and horizon stone Basicly that means my kozilek, the great distortion Just got a loop hole of running Kruphix, God of Horizons
‚Thrash‘ was the term for the clan structure of the Viashinos on Jund.
hey learn something new and still pretty funny name for a clan on alara
If a card like Hive Mind existed in his colors it would be absolutely nuts. Blinkmoth Urn, Overabundance (being my personal favorite if you have red damage doublers like Furnace of Rath), Shizuko, Caller of Autumn, and Valleymaker to name some good ones.

You might want to get horizon stone with caution because you want to look at who the artist is (aka another art that was already on the presses)

Similar to how Omnath, Locus of Mana and Kruphix, God of Horizons work
Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger
Omnath, Locus of Rage
Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy
Toshiro Umezawa
Thraximundar
Jirina Kudro
Geist of Saint Traft
Krark, the Thumbless + Sakashima of a Thousand Faces

That would be just like Kruphix to have their signature weapon be something unrecognizable from the others.
