Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar 1R
Legendary Creature - Elemental Lizard (U)
Whenever a commander you control deals combat damage to an opponent, it deals that much damage to each other opponent.
Partner
1/1
The leaked first of the familiar cycle, and a Pirate that forces you to alpha strike on opponent at a time... for at least two per turn.
That Kediss is going straight into my Snapdax Voltron deck, mutate target that amplifies my damage output by a crazy amount across the board and especially good with extra combat tricks, ouch.
Excited to try it out!
Is the damage that is being dealt to the other players considered combat and/or commander damage?
No and no.
Combat damage is always dealt during combat from actually hitting them, not from triggered (or activated) abilities. Also, logically, if the triggered damage counted as combat damage, then Kediss would go infinite because "Whenever a commander you control deals combat damage to an opponent, it deals that much damage to each other opponent." would trigger itself over and over.
And it's not commander damage because only combat damage counts for that.

Pirate isnt too bad either
Gisela has no Partner but you can still play Kediss in the 99.
Sorry doesn't work for nekusaur it’s combat damage the lizard is looking for
Note you can still attack the same player you attacked before with all your other creatures.
I guess they made him kinda beefy to prevent too many Dwarven Warriors effects.
