This card looks great. And it's not 6+ mana for some reason like a lot of other cards in this set. I'd be glad to pull multiples of this for decks. Although when I saw the name of the thread, I was hoping for an Opposition on a body.

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Thank you wizard for not making Opposition Agent a pirate. You are already printing pirates in UR so having one in black would be absolute heresy.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I think this will end up causing the same play patterns as Notion Thief does: no one draws cards tutors after the first tutor gets stolen when it flashes in, then people tutor draw lots of cards until they can kill the thing. Until then, its controller is the archenemy.
Here we have an example of a card that was pushed and is now too good.
If it had been just the first part, thats great and fair. They fierce empath and you give them their worst 6 drop, they cultivate and you keep them off a color. Crop rotation for a basic land. Thats all mean, but fair, and makes for a fun game. Similar to aven mindcensor.
Where it goes over the top is the second ability.
People already hate playing against mind slaver effects, but now watch out. This guy exists. There goes huge portions of you deck that you just wont want to play. It shuts down some commanders completely even. Its not just stealing that demonic tutor and using your deck against you, its stealing every search. All of them. For all players.
Efficiently at 3 mana.
On top of that people already complain searches take too long, but now someone who doesnt know your deck gets to do it. Gonna be real great to sit there for 20 minutes as someone tries to figure out the best pieces to steal every time anyone does a search.
Do they exile a combo piece and neuter you, maybe it combos with their deck, what about just something good in the moment, theres too many decisions there for a deck someone doesnt know.
This one is an auto include in any deck that can run it, and is too good, while also not being fun to play against.
This is what happens when the team that designed cards like uro and omnath set their sights on another format. This will easily be one of the most hated new cards.

...I literally don’t understand the “every time anyone does a search” part.
Yes, this guy will likely come in to snipe a search effect. Yes, that single search may take longer than normal.
Aftee that, though, who on earth is dumb enough to play another card that searches? They literally gain zero benefit from doing so and just benefit this chard’s controller instead.
Outside of the broken Maralen deck already mentioned... I guess you might do a search for political favors (or cooperate to get a mutually needed answer out) or play a fierce empath as an emergency blocker? That’s about it, really.
After that first sniped search, I can’t imagine this card doing much more than WotS Ashiok. People just stop searching until the card is answered because they aren’t dumb-dumbs. If anything, this card speeds up play for a bit by having players eschew deck searching.
This card looks pretty bad next to notion thief (IMO) as there are a whole bunch of cards that automatically draw players cards each turn and almost NONE that force them to search their library each turn.

Example of someone entrenched in their own playgroup. Not everyone plays decks with a lot of search effects. And as someone else said, it's really only going to snipe one effect, not like anyone is going to play more search effects while this is out.

Preventing them from searching is totally fine.
AND you can go politics, search for a card and let the other guy cast it for you (like point removal against a target you both want removed anyway).
It works perfect with forced search effects that you might run in a casual edh deck anyway (as everyone loves some group hug if its not the only game plan).

This site has me constantly saying "Some peoples' kids"
Its like a Aven Mindcensor on super crack mega level.
It even allows you to play the lands you steal from a fetchland activation.
It does it all.
When a Demonic Tutor turns into a backfired Praetor's Grasp the value is oozing all over the table.
Now just imagine you hit the opponent with an Intuition ... thats 3 extra cards of your choice from that players library ... its disgusting value ...

It kinda feels like yet one more thing that White is now worse at than other colors. Add it to the list.
That is perhaps and overreaction, but it's certainly the feeling I get from it.
Then I read the second ability... :|
Then I started reading the comments and saw this has Flash...
Man, this is RIDONK!!!
I’m stealing that idea.

It's not like they gave it Hexproof and Indestructible as well. Or even 4 toughness.
In a certain sense, this is an extremely political card. It is, after all, performing Opposition Research.
plus it might be playable in legacy and vintage
It also steals Stoneforge Mystic and Recruiter of the Guard targets.
It also messes up with a few Storm plays (Dark Petition and Wishclaw Talisman in mind).
It also steals GSZ, Natural Order, Veteran Explorer, Crop Rotation and Gamble targets.
Without considering the fetchland impact but adding other tutor effects in various archetypes, it's useful against 30+% of the metagame. Not bad.

It kinda allows all kinds of casual cards to be one-sided or even advantages to the Agent player.
And in WORST case you snack a tutor and prevent them from tutoring more.
Imagine you hit a Tooth and Nail or something else huge, its absolute GOLD ever time.
