... because an uncommon land that comes into play untapped and supports all of the core tribes from this set would be stronger than the mythic / rare lands?
Would be great if this was rare and untapped while the Kicker land was uncommon and came in tapped. I get why this would be necessary at uncommon and tapped though.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Agreed. I'm mystified by the addition of that rider.

In a Commander deck this could come into play untapped, but in a draft set it needs to be tapped, or at least rare.
Hands to the sky
Give a round of applause
For the great Miss Y!
its a great land and all because it enters tapped your not putting it in tribal decks
VAST MAJORY OF LANDS IN CASUAL/BATTLECRUISER EDH DECKS COME IN TAPPED!
You can't see the sneaky rogue, but it's there in the shadows.
The wizard is taking the picture
That doesn't make them good
Nor does it make taplands a good deckbuilding decision
You know what else you could put in tribal decks?
Almost any 5 color land that enters untapped
City of Brass
Mana Confluence
Cavern of Souls
Unclaimed Territory
There are tons of others
