It's great removal for Limited that leaves you with a 3/2 that fuels other party effects. It's about what you'd expect to see for a -X/-X effect at common, and it'll reliably be giving out -3/-3 which takes out a significant number of creatures in this Limited environment. It's a slightly less tough Silumgar Butcher for 1 more but you don't need to sacrifice a creature (though you will still need to have other creatures on the board).
