Stubborn Denial's spiritual successor. All you need is one member of the party to create Spell Pierce.
(Don't think about how the Warrior is helping out here too much.)
I feel like this should be a pure counter spell if you had a full party.
See now, you are talking way too much sense here. More powered down padlum.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
With only one Rogue (Dimir Rogues if viable) or a Wizard (Izzet Spells)you get an actual Spell Pierce, which has seen play both times it has been printed. So far this is the Party payoff card I like the most, and may very well be the only one to see Constructed play. Oh well, at least one had to be good, the Party mechanic has been really disappointing, it's basically unplayable outside of Limited, if you ever manage to assemble a full party without eating a sweeper or having it broken by removal when playing a Constructed match you should be winning that same turn anyway.

Well, you see, there’s an old fashioned counterspelling technique among adventurers known as “Sword in throat”.

Might be playable in Oona where it can actually tax 3 reliably.
