Not bad. Feel like there might be better options though, even just Soul Shatter. Like all these cards this is best if you are playing a deck that likes lands. , and seem to be the main landfall colors though.
I feel like it should have cost 1BB and had the same reduction. I don't know why the ability to become a land suddenly means the cards on them are worse.

Because the choice of playing them as land really is a very strong option. The ability of playing less lands in a deck or having the insurance not to be mana screwed is a huge upside that many people seem to dismiss too hastily.

Because the ability to become a land is very powerful for deck building. Imagine running only 20 land and 4 of these, how much that improves things.
That said, I would have expected this to destroy a creature "or planeswalker" but I guess we have soul shatter for that. This is still quite strong.

Alright, so I'm imagining an aggro deck?
Even a control deck would run these types of spells in place of lands, because they can easily absorb the CITP drawback. And then in the late game, when your draw engine is humming and you've got enough lands in hand, suddenly some of them become a relevant kill spell/finisher/whatever.
The set's 4-mana removal spell at rare.

Reminds me of how War's Toll is spelled *exactly* like the colloquial version of the German phrase for "Was it great[?]", even down to the apostrophe.
Just love it when these kinda coincidences combined with a card's design create a little something to smile about.
