That White DFC is good as it can target walkers and creatures while not in combat (direct damage to creatures returning to white, and now can target walkers).
The Fling is ok i guess, maybe ppl play it in red agroo decks as it can be the 21-22 th land in the deck.
If all the DFC where like this (new effects or a cost increase of 1 for iconic spells) the set would be worth just for those.
I am still deciding whether taking an existing spell and tacking a land on its other side is a stroke of genius or just designer laziness But I like it a lot.

That's just how TCG design. Only so many different possibilities that actually work well. Reuse the good ones with new twists. It's good for the environment

Wait a second... dealing damage in white? I mean yeah... There are some old card that do that but they are old. I thought that only damage redirection is a white thing.
The white one is quite a bend, I can't recall a white spell dealing damage somewhere in the Modern environment (out of combat)... Those lands are great for limited anyway, the format will be full of fun shenanigans !

Dealing damage to a creature has been available in white for a while, usually to attacking/blocking creatures though.

Yup, Sunlance actually saw a bit of play in white weenie decks in Modern ! This is the closest card with a drawback that's not related to combat (sorcery speed though).

Mono white isnt supposed to get straight removal like this. Its supposed to be reactive, or give your opponents something in exchange, or be able to be answered. Yeah there is usually like a 5 mana exile a creature spell much of the time (and even that feels like a bit of a bend) but this is 100% just a red card.
I guess the design team is fine with W dealing damage getting Outnumber now because you need creatures on the board for it to do something? That's a question I want Maro to answer.
Color-pie-wise, white is allowed to remove any threat for any reason. That's the color's defining strength. White prefers to play fair with its removal, so I guess having to control a bunch of creatures is considered fair now.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
Players: MonoWhite needs help doing more things than just attacking.
WotC: Ok, here's removal that's a twist on White's larger board states that doesn't involve attacking.
Players: WhY yOu BeNd CoLoR pIe FoR wHiTe???
This is a great card for White to get as it's a better payoff to flooding the board/creating tokens than just attacking. Yes, it does feel Red, but White sorely needs help fleshing out its ID. Let it become the color that best utilizes a large board/token swarm. This is a big step in making White a more well rounded color and doesn't hurt the other colors either. Shoot, Green just had another gigantic creature that is uncounterable, has haste and hexproof, and a kicker to add more counters while already starting as a 6/6. Let White get new toys lol.

Basically this is white's version of green's fight mechanic. Green uses giant beaters as the condition for its creature removal; white uses a weenie board state. If this is a color pie bend, I think it actually enriches the color pie. Red doesn't need to invest in a creature board state to burn, it shouldn't have this effect and just focus on being the burn color.
Kabira Takedown is really exciting. Not only because it's a pretty decent card - as mentioned above, Outnumber is a thing, and not only this also hits Planeswalkers which is HUGE, but also comes with a land mode and all for 1 extra - but this card, plus cards like Swallow Whole, show that Wizards is willing to give W Creature decks efficient targeted removal by specifically making it so W/WU Control decks can't use it. Either way, I'm willing to test it in White creature brews in Standard.
Kazuul's Fury is also cool, mainly because Fling has been a meme-ish card that some zany brews actually use as an effective wincon with cards like Colossification. Not only it's extra copies of Fling, but the fact it has a second mode makes it much easier to justify running multiples.

I don't see why the two colors can't share the Outnumber effect. White gets it because it needs more rewards for going wide, and red gets it because it's king in dealing damage.

I mean, I think they can share, it's just that Red doesn't need the effect. Outnumber is, in all honesty, a pretty medicore card but Kabira Takedown has lots of potential because it's White, the same way Harmonize is a slamdunk Green card but Concentrate is nothing special.
the white one is a much needed change from the usual crappy white while still keeping its conditional aspects. the effect is reasonably costed, and i could see running it in quite a few decks that usually go wide. hell, even using it for a small amount of damage like as a lightning bolt can be extremely advantageous and in a pinch its a plains. this one is pretty good, and if more of the dfc cards were around this quality i'd like the mechanic more.
the red one, actually isn't that bad either. given that it can be a land or a fling. it kept its instant speed, 3 mana isn't that much, just 1 mana more than fling, so its sitll aggressively costed and will actually see some use. this one will be slotting into a couple of my red/x decks. normally i shy away from etb tapped lands. they're just too slow, but the versatility late game makes up for it without being an outrageously over costed effect, again, if more dfc's were in line with this i would like the mechanic much more

Yep, this is right. I see it as a reasonable effect for a card which would imply that it would be acceptable as a monored card, but in practice if there's a choice between which color gets this effect in a card, white is preferable. And RW would gain the option to aim at players.

That's the bend. And it's instant speed, so it's very red and not white at all.
I could only find Summary Judgment (and Sunlance but that's from Planar Chaos)
